Workrider people get into ownership for fun not for making money though mate. Saying that i'm not sure how much success it will be, imagine at the end of the day you get sick off paying someone else bills.

bit of fun for a large syndicate I would imagine.

bit of fun my arse jungle , large sindicates very hard to find atm just ask any trainer . these fillys remember they use the word fillys still 3yos its not till they turn 4 they become mares , how many 3yos races for nh bred fillys  are there very few imo .the guts of 2yrs training fees down the drain then that wonderful possibility of been balloted out . no thanks .

I run a syndicate of 10 & we've recently purchased another racehorse,previous one was no good.gave her 2 runs,trainer pulled plug quickly,onto next horse now!
one of the syndcate members dad trains horse so were getting horse trained at cost price! cost price between 10 is nada & trainer delighted to have any owner in the yard!

lease mare,a run or 2 to see if she was any good,if we thought we'd get a gamble out of her we'd keep her,if not,goodbye mare!

on lookout for another horse at the mo,more money than sense but were getting good craic out of it :)

great stuff jungle , glad your having some fun , i ran a sindicate in the 90s for a few guys , we had a 2yo and our trainer at the time was going through a rough time , he raced this poor thing against jet ski lady who went on to win the oaks , needless to say he went bust and left the game soon after . last i heard of him was he was working in a pub in london , poor fellow , you are lucky cost wise . hope it works out for you got out of horses myself but just might be tempted back soon , got a nice offer from a trainer recently the price of horses sure has dropped .

they amount of horses were been offered is frightening,a few years ago we'd get nowhere the pedigrees.
am hearing horror stories every week,plenty of the big trainers are suffering,could mention a few but I wont.

I think if u spoke to a few trainers they'd do u a deal on the training fees,no harm in asking.

i was offered a 2yo    half sister to a listed winner for 14,ooo euro , he got back to me awhile back offering it for 6,000 just shows how prices have dropped .i'd ignore a lot of the horror stories if i were you most things finding their proper level imo . off out to lunch talk to you later . p.s. if your interested in that 2yo i could put you in touch with the trainer
