Not sports related bla bla but what a great day this could be for the North of Ireland and indeed the island as a whole. After this let's get an apology for the Famine/holocaust

No whitewash this time! Finally an apology.

What have you got to say now Onionss?

Still believe Bloody Sunday victims 'got what they deserved' now eh?

Soldiers 'knowingly but forward falsified accounts to excuse inexcusable actions'

'Not one of the casualties did anything that remotely deserved their killings'

'There is simply no justification whatsoever to what occurred on Bloody Sunday

A fantastic day for the victims and victims families and the people of northern Ireland a s whole. There would never have been justice for them if people hadn't kept the flame of justice and fight that every true Irishman and woman have.

IRA victims were not murdered by the state and then had it covered up and were vilified with false accusations and false justifications for their murder

Let's hope we get a similar apology for the hit on Jean Mc Conville.

The IRA have rightfully apolgized for all the innocent people they murdered and people have done time for their murders and people have had closure.

Im a British citizen and have no desire whatsoever for a united Ireland and neither do the majority of people in Northern Ireland.Peaceful Ireland, yes.United Ireland, never.
By:
comeonkautostar
When: 15 Jun 10 16:33
Never? lmao

Its coming within the next 100 years without doubt.

Its up to the people of NI, not you. And it is predicted that within 75-100 years the majority of people will support a United Ireland

If not in 75-100 years, the 50 years after that without doubt

you are not a british citizen even if you are from north, all you are is an 'and'. Ireland will become united in spirit but that includes you, whatever happens once time passes will be up to the people and should all depend on what the best option is to bring business and investment our way. It will not be part of the UK either.

it is amazing what can change in 5 or 10 years nevermind 75, when the good friday agreement the irish taoisheach told a large crowd in dublin that by 20160 there would be a UI, very little coverage of that went north.

By:

yes a full apology from pope should happen and many truths and apologies on all sorts of thing should happen, that is the point but this debate is about England apologizing at last for their long list of evil deeds on the Irish people and yes the Irish fought back and they have apologized, it's a process rather than a hate campaign. At the end of it we all have a better society, the people who don't stand up and fight and rather sit every day watching horses run around doesn't help anybody.

Fair play to the Volunteers for taking up arms against the Brits, to think  we are all crying about banks and developers, sure we'd know all about if an occupying army was shooting friends and family in the street.
By:

When: 17 Jun 10 10:29
You sound a bit simple MALAY.No-one seems to have mentioned on here yet that one of the dead had nail bombs in his pockets or that our good friend Martin Maginnis was in possession of a gun that day.Only the most backward of people would not realise that not everyone was there for a peaceful protest that day and also that the cowardly IRA had no qualms with launching attacks behind the cover of civillians.
