The first game sees average teams take each other on in what will be a typical Ulster Championship fare. I think Monaghan will take this by 1 or 2 points. It's always dangerous taking a team who hasn't played so far over a team that has 70 minutes of Championship football under their belt already, but last time out with Armagh, just like Tyrone, I got the impression that they were there for the taking when running into a better side. Derry were very poor and Monaghan will put in a better display.
The second sees the two best teams in the country go head to head in Killarney in a repeat of last years All Ireland final. Kerry weren't too hot against Tipp but I think that will have blown the cobwebs away and they'll be right up for this at home, against the Munster champs and will want to erase the memory (if the AI final didnt do the trick) of that thumping they got in the Munster semi final replay by the same opponents last year. Cork havent won here in 15 years, although they should have done last year and they havent had a side as good as this in a while.
Despite that, I'm taking Kerry to pull through by 3 points.
Wrong again. See my Louth tip which went off at 6s. Babas tip. InterMilan90mins/Toulouse tip. Don't see you post up anything ever, you're not even involved in the GAA comp.

FFS ball a couple of inches off the ground and it's a free. Unbelievable. Until we have refs who aren't so useless and blind that they can tell the difference they shouldn't be so strict. What a joke. Games hinge on things like that.

Fair enough result to be honest, referee was a pure disgrace though. Probably 50/50 on decisions given, but some of his calls were ridiculous to say the least.

Chester I think we've seen some excellent stuff, the refs are doing their best to ruin it. They should take a leaf out of McEnaney's book at let things run. Maybe a bit unfair to blame them with the pressure they're under from HQ but they do have discretion and once the product is good ultimately it shouldn't matter. Rugby referees are very individual in how they ref but it's known about and accepted.

Scoobyknows - "draw fair result cork had chance to kill it and choked!"
Agree, and think its better for cork that they didnt hang on. Replay should do them no harm and give a chance to really 'beat' kerry rather than just scrapping over the line in a bad game.

had no bet on the match, but it was no foul on copper for kerrys equaliser. for the throw ball at the end if he gave the free to copper, kerry should also have got another free in instead of a throw ball. there was also 20 secs left when cork got possession back, plenty of time to get the ball back up field.
the GAA is a disgrace. playing for draws any chance they can. well done to all who won on the draw , but its frustrating to watch. extra time should be played all the way through the championship. it would put an end to this rubbish.

I think there is a big case for bring in ET for all games up to AI QF stage. It also hands an advantage so smaller counties which is good, they might overperform one day but not the next. Won't happen though for obvious reasons.

they had a rule in the league that the ball must leave the field of play before final whistle, but scrapped it again for championship, refs have been ruining games so far this season!

QF stage would be acceptable , but i'm sick of the GAA engineering draws every chance they get. If this happened in the FA cup or the Heineken Cup there would rightly be uproar.

Think its a bit unfair to say the GAA are still in the business of engineering draws-if you look at last year there were very few as the new format doesn't allow for enough time to re-arrange fixtures. If anything last year I felt refs were giving teams every chance to win tight games. Having said that the system where there is a replay from the semis on is a bit unfair on Leinster teams compared to say Munster or Connacht where Cork for example are straight into a semi.
