By:
bad form from the gardai.majority of them are ok but some are evil b@stards.
get onto joe duffy this tuesday and shame them |
By:
they avoid the real problems everywhere and pick on the easy prey. Shame on them.
By:
she should have said she was a TRAVELLER theyd say drive on!!...law abiding people are the only ones guards are interested in..some one who will pay fines and ban gardai are the worst...
By:
Some of them are absolute pr1cks.....not all of them, but some of them.
Went in to get a passport photo signed a while back and the sour faced cow of a 'woman' behind the counter didn't make it a pleasurable experience. |
By:
That is awful.
By:
Disgraceful. Some of them wouldnt let a fly land on **. Common sense, is not all the common.

shud have had the tax and insurance sorted befor hand its not hard to do only a phon call fair fecks 2 the gards if you learned to read properly you inbred cnut , i agree. My problem is with leaving a pregnant women standing for 20 mins in the dark at the side of the road. Now run along as mammy has the bath ready for you and your sister |
By:
What sort of responce did you get from the station they are based at.
Leaving an individual alone especially someone 5 months pregnant is not on. |
By:
haven't being near the station, my brother is working today and then going down to cop station to sort it out. will let you know if anything is said mate
By:
they will refer you to the ombudsman, who will respond by telling you she broke the law , at least thats what happened in the previous incident i referred to
By:
yeah they will toby, would be interested in the response to the process that allows a women to be left on her own.

It's almost certainly the case the Gardaí are under orders from the Sergeant or whoever, which in turn comes down the line, to have zero tolerance in certain areas. Ie find a car with no tax AND no insurance and take it on the spot. It is the case that driving around with DISPLAYING the discs is an offence as well as not having them, I think. Tbh, if I was driving around in a car with no discs and it was taken from me I'd be annoyed but recognise it was an acceptable consequence. It's not as if she was 8 months and bursting. Might be difficult to tell at 5 months!
If it was a checkpoint, surely the checkpoint didn't just get up and move the second the car was seized? There would have been Gardai around? If so it's not quite the same thing, the other choice in that case is giving her the car back, which as I say they might have been under orders not to. |
By:
Driving an uninsured car in a very, very serious road offence no matter what the circumstances.
By:
she probably got gobby with the law enforcer to be fair.
By:
they obviously have little to be doing, any sort of real crime and they would have ** in their pants, wasters.
By:
Policing the roads benefits everyone. Your insurance premiums for example.

Driving an uninsured car in a very, very serious road offence no matter what the circumstances. the car was insured, they hadn't gt a disc displayed, |
By:
So the Gardai were at the checkpoint with her when she waited yeah?
By:
My apologies. Misread.
By:
no problem brave inca. I wasn't there but one of the gardai took the car ( to the pound, by the way it still isn't there ) and the other guard went off in the patrol car. My brother plays GAA and there is a copper that plays in the team, he said he went down to the pound today and the car has not arrived yet lol
By:
Something doesn't add up there.
By:
you sure they were gardai buddy? :)
By:
yep :)
By:
Well she was right to be stopped n prosecuted so the issue is should they have left a 5 month prenant woman on the road, They cant leave her drive away uninsured and its not up to the gardai to phone a taxi , its ugly but for the gardai its awkward too
By:
It was a checkpoint. Either the checkpoint got up and left the second the car was taking or the OP isn't telling the truth.
By:
ricky what the fcuk would i gain by lying? ffs get a grip
By:
So the checkpoint upped and left the second they seized the car? Both cars left?
By:
yep ricky
By:
Seems a bit strange that the checkpoint left as soon as they seized the car.
By:
Very strange indeed. I doubt this incident happened. Make a complaint to the ombudsman if you feel victimised.
