Anyone hear him on Newstalk defending AIB saying they deserve more time etc...?

His "Performance" at 5:30 was surely political suicide. The utter embarassement of his clueless rants criticising "Lenihans advisors".

The best came when he guaranteed he would be re-elected in the next election.

We'll see Ned, We'll see ;)

FFS, just heard his other rants on News at one....

"I'll tell you whose fault it is, its the fault of foreign banks who came into this country and created an agressive lending policy"

"Lenihan doesn't know much about financial matters"...as opposed to Ned, who is basically a farmer and knows all about finance.

No wonder this country is F**ked with guys like this.

They were my thoughts exactly when I heard on the news at one on Radio 1. Jeez what an embarassment he is to the Government.
Report bollocky bill March 29, 2010 8:40 PM BST
.........and lets face it , it takes a lot to embarass those lads!!!

these people just do not get it. from property developers coming on the pat kenny show looking for help ramping the market back up "to stop our members commiting suicide", to pay rises at anglo, to the above tosh ? when is someone going to hold their hand up and strive not to let it happen again.

pots - never gonna happen when the same cnuts are still running the show.

neds speaking through his pocket ....has a lock of bank shares which he will be using as horse bedding before too long
Report kkkatt March 29, 2010 8:51 PM BST
a farmer knows a hell of a lot more about finance than the barristers, teachers, auctioneers, failed accountants and cosy senior civil servants who ruined the economy in the past decade. ned is only worried about the value of his aib shares.
Report pots March 29, 2010 8:53 PM BST
i'd advise him to dump them now at 1.40 while they're still worth a nominal amount
Report Diamond_Joe_Quimby March 29, 2010 8:54 PM BST
A Farmer like him knows all about the price of milk....little or nothing about the financial system and its running in fairness.

I agree though teachers, etc....know as much as him as well. ie nothing.

Its time people were hired to do a job they were qualified for.

There price will be going down the drain quicker than his political career.

Are Anglo Irish to be classified as a foreign bank

They had long started the mad hatters lending policies before Halifax and ACC joined the party.
Report kkkatt March 29, 2010 9:07 PM BST
ned would know more about the price of pigs actually.anyone running a small business would have run things better than the idiots who were in charge.these career politicians are clueless idiots beholden to vested interests. the few who tell it as they see it whether wrong or right.ned, mcguinness and varadkar come to mind, are certain to get in next time.

Ned O'Keeffe - always associate him with the description "heavy with drink"
Report thegalwayman March 29, 2010 10:30 PM BST
You're generalising there Diamond Joe. I'm a farmer and I have an intimate knowledge of the current financial crisis.
Report bollocky bill March 29, 2010 10:33 PM BST
