Over 22k to chase in the jackpot lads. Looks a lot easier than at Naas. Banking on Psycho in the last will allow you to lay off should you get that far.
Race 1) Tijuana Dancer. Now that the ground is drying out shocks a plenty are in store as was witnessed at Naas today. Ruby taking over for the first time should see this one primed to go close. A faller LTO he was previously a good 3rd to Mr Clyde at fairyhouse
Race 2) Mazara. 4th of 16 to Will Jamie Run in a 2.4 handicap hurdle ought to see this one go close.
Race 3) Shorecliffe King.(NB) 6 lengths clear of the 3rd when runner up to gambled on Cayo Levantado at Punchestown 3 weeks ago. This 2 furlong shorter trip will suit better and he will come on for his seasonal debut.
Race 4) Ambrosia's Promise. Adrian Maguire's horses are back in form. This one ran a close 3rd on his chase debut to Cru at Thurles a fortnight ago.
Race 5) The Corby Glenn. (Treble) Ruby teamed up with this for the first time LTO where they romped home by 10 lengths with another 18 lengths back to the 3rd at Fairyhouse. A 10 lb penalty seems very fair and he can go in again.
Race 6) Psycho. (Nap) This better ground should bring out the best in this most unlucky performer. A good winner last autumn in a conditions hurdle from Healy's bar at Punchestown. He can bring up the treble for Ruby.
Race 7) False Economy. John Thomas doesn't take too many mounts in bumpers. So take the hint that this one can run another good race having run 4th to A Fine Young Man at Naas last Sunday.

Just a note to the regulars on here, at the Galway preview night Barney Curley was his usual ambivalent self when it came to cheltenham... I've gone to this preview for years, more for the crack and who you'd bump into, than for the tips, in all these years Barney often gives the impression he is seeing or hearing about some of the main contenders for the first time, and rarely gives an opinion. His anecdotes are his main entertainment value. This year he alluded to the fact he was touched at the continued support Galway gives to DAFA through this preview, and gave a tip that one of his horses would win in the next 11 days... wouldn't give a name, said it would be obvious on the day! The preview was mon the 8th.... Alan Byrne who was comparing the event said 11 days was the key, persumed it meant the horse would be out next fri(11 Days time)... but has two today, keep an eye out....
ME FEIN Record when favourite reads 3-5; 0-9 when not; not hard to figure AVISO One time Group 2 winner; winner in waiting but check market

4.45 Whatsabillion @ 9/2 (looks too big, if he can transalate his hurdles form to the bigger obsticles he is the one to beat)
5.45 Dermey Bowler @ 15/2 (was told to back it by the trainer, simple as)

2.35 Nap - Tijuana Dancer - was still in contention wen falling 3 out lto- this is a very poor race and should be too good
3.40 nb- All the Eights 3 runs in mdh and into a h'cap here, has been there with a chance 3 out in his 3 races b4 fading back- this is nt the strongest race and solid e/w claims imo @ 14/1

WHAT'S IN FRONT (4.45) is a long standing maiden over fences but this is a poor handicap. He has some snippets of form which I believe would be good enough to see him go close.

psycho at 2/1 looks a decent bet. thought he'd be 5/4. kazals chase record is FU, he hasn't run a decent race in two years and hasn't ran in 14mths. the rest don't look up to much, psycho would be about 2 stone clear on hurdle ratings. i know it doesn't always translate but there's a major gap in ability. psycho doesn't look the easiest to win with. could end up his hardest opponent is himself! but at 2/1 its worth taking a chance that he outclasses them

been keeping half an eye on Curley over the years and in recent times he's developed a habit of getting winners on days when all eyes are elsewhere ie. Grand National day, Derby day, Royal Ascot, Cheltenham etc
I see the Bonus Ball is being dropped back to 2m1f next tuesday... I don't think it's for the Supreme Novices Hurdle either! We'll see...

jair1970, remember my father had a list of stables that had a history of pulling one during festivals, particularly Cheltenham...always would be checking entries to spot a possible springer in the market..
its a good logic, u go in to a bookies, want to get any decent bet of an average size of a normal tuesday.... you'll be knocked back.... do it when their taking massive volumes over the counter and you could snick a nice volume bet on without it being overtly flagged... obviously computer software will have nullified some if not all of that advantage...

Thought Ag Dul Suas's 2nd last run was the best piece of form in the race. Not sure was it the trip that was the excuse for his last run but the trainer stepping him back in trip would suggest it was. Still he's 7.4 and the fav's 2.5. Martins horse was still going all right when UR last time, but that was a shocking race.
Ag Dul Suas for me.

backed it at 9/2 this morning. if he can transalate the form he has being shoing over hurdles he really should win, however he has to show more than he has over fences so far!!

tactics will be interesting in the next, with Ambrosias Promise and Coscorrig both front-runners, I'd have thought Kind Oscar will be done for speed. Coscorrig really should win if replicating 3 of her last 4 runs

2,5,14 and 15 not covered by anyone in the jackers so someone gonna win a few bob it looks....I left out kind oscar so not me...
You would have put it in if you were following the morning exchanges. I laid it at 5/1 :)
Good picking BJG as usual.
Andrew Lynch won't be a happy bunny at the McKenna's Cheltenham preview in Harold's Cross tonight getting beat on a hot jolly. Let's hope young Patrick isn't either as I have laid him at 5/2.
