Just back from it now. 5 hours almost never thought it would end. Colm Murray spent most of the night talking shiite, the Colm we wanted to hear (murphy) said nothing and wasn't even asked about voler la vedette. Evan Williams was OK but fairly pointless, Don McClean was his usual good self in fairness, Davy was OK and Barry Geraghty (probably the person who would have most insight into one of the most powerful yards at the festival) left at the interval before he got to discuss the wellbeing of Punchestowns, Riverside theatre, barbers shop or any other of hendersons chasers. His "replacement" was where the night really took a downward spiral. Some auld fella who is connected to Sports line and probably a friend of the "painful" colm murray, went up to sit in Barrys place and proceded to bore the absolute arse off the whole room. Highlight of the night was one fella from the crowd started snoring out loud, while yer man was talking. This was one of the most drawn out boring previews every, no craic at all or banter and no audience participation.... not a chance to ask Barry his opinion on the henderson novice hurdlers and where they rank or which will go for h'caps etc. and no witty jokes or craic which is what you hope for at these things. WASTE OF TIME as im sure anyone who was there will agree....

"Peter Daly: Now I am sure this fellow is a nice guy and all that but all i could down in my notes was ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, he put us all to sleep to the point someone made a loud snoring noise which was very funny and woke us all up. "

Good night with a good article by Peter Thomas in the Post today. WPM was again to the point with no banker and what I niticed was that he was coy about sportline by talking up shakervilz. Oh the clever one he is!!!!!!!.
I'm convinced i'll have a nice wedge on Sportline to beat CCB after what Eddie Harty said in his interview with RP. Sportline is a difficult horse but has the best man on his side to get him there and it looks now like Ruby will ride him.

In fairness to the Westmanstown gang they now how to organise a gig. It was very professionally run and the free grub was a nice touch which punters appreciated. Colm Murray doesn't come cheap either i'd say.
