Tradesport just out of interest who do you think would buy the club. The club like liverpool is debt ridden. Nobody will buy it. The bubble has burst in football and just like everything else the recession has hit it. So i think your mad if you think somebody is going to come along and buy united. Theres no money to be made in football and anyone with sense would not go near it. There's harsh times ahead for english football. Expect liverpool and united to be very quite in the transfer market next season as neither team has a pot to**s in. Liverpool are in worse shape but not alot worse.
Report TRADESPORT February 18, 2010 7:44 PM GMT
United are making 30/40 million profits every season. Who wouldn't want it??? it's just all the profit is going to servicing their debt that the have incurred with their take over. Whoever buys it should just have more capital and less borrowing. The current model is unsustainable and the Glazers holding company will go bust eventually with Old Trafford ect used as security on their borrowings.
Report anfeild February 18, 2010 7:50 PM GMT
United i think made 30m last season after selling ronaldo for 80m. Also why would anyone buy a club with so much debt. If you buy the club you take on the debt. Also with the markets the way they are no bank is going to want to do any deals with united or any club for that matter.
Report anfeild February 18, 2010 7:58 PM GMT
Also whoever takes it over has to service the debt. So you expect some clown to come in and take on the debt which is costing hugh amounts each year. The banks are not going to renegotiate the debt. Also nobody is going to invest their capital into united or any club as their is no money to be made in football. Wages are way to high. People with that sort of capital are not going to invest in united to make money. If you have that money you would make more putting it on depoist than putting it into a club. The glaziers and liverpools owners invested to make money. They have found out the hard way they cant. So you expect some other donkey to come along and invest. The people united and liverpool want are the owners of city and to some extent chelsea. People who dont care about money and only using the club as another playboys toy. And the harsh facts are there are not many of them around.

"Many football clubs have allowed their levels of debt to grow to immense proportions. These debts cannot be serviced and investors simply don't have the appetite or ability to take on such poor business propositions."

Thats a quote from somebody dealing with portsmouth shambles. That holds true for many clubs in the premier league. Bad times ahead i think.

Anfield, if u buy a house from say, Tradesport, do you seriously expect to continue paying his mortgage?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/jan/11/manchester-united-profits-cristiano-ronaldo

you will see that 48 million profit is after 41 million paid in interest as well. So that is still technically a profit after Ronaldo. I'm not disputing taht we will be fooked in the long term that's why we are protesting.

Who will buy united.? Tradesport what sort of clown are you looking for. Nobody with any sense will buy you's. So who do you want.

Yeah unless i pay in cash. So you expect some owners going to come in after selling another football club. What are you on.

Look your doomed. United and liverpool are **kkked unless some sugar daddy who loves the club comes in and has lots of oil money.

Utd is a very attractive trophy asset, providing a healthy return. The field of such potential buyers who could buy it without leveraging it is small admittedly.

What return. 40M in a year they sold ronaldo. I bet next year united will make a loss. People will not pay what they are charging for tickets in the current climate. The money has dried up. The harsh times are ahead just face it.

EBIT still healthy and trending upwards unless I am very much mistaken. Recession proof to date, which further adds to its attractivenss to a potential purchaser.

Under its current financing structure it is clealry scr*wed, which might be the point that you are trying to make.

Well investors have ploughed 500 million in bonds in the last few months to restructure the debt so obviously investors do rate it as a good investment.

Name was taken. So poxy what. The money has gone. This thread was started by someone trying to get the glaziers out. I rest my case. WHO IS GOING TO COME IN. IF I WON THE **KKING LOTTERY I WOULD NOT INVEST IN AN ENGLISH TEAM. LOOK AT PORTSMOUTH.

Two chances of that happening. We'll see how many so-called die-hard Utd fans there are then!

Never gonna happen. If a goal is scored in the 1st 10 mins, people will be killed in the crush to get into the ground.

Police won't allow it to happen.

It'll end up being a "face away from the action for 1st 10 mins" protest.
