DKIT might not be a bad price at all I think it will be closer then the odds suggest I don't know much about GMIT but I know DKIT have improved a lot over the past few years and have some good minor footballers.

Toto - didn't see this post until today, but Sligo yesterday @ 11/8 PP and 6/5 Laddies was a gift of a price. Garda @ odds on was ridiculous - only ever gonna be one winner there. The bookies had the rest priced up fairly spot on apart from this one.

Usually it's difficult to get odds on individual Sigerson matches, but the bookies seem to be taking a chance this year.
UUJ had a close one V QUB, but that side of the draw is completely top heavy with all the big guns.

Draw completed to the final. One side you have UUJ/CIT/DCU and QUB (now gone).

The other side much weaker. Value was defo 14/1 IT Sligo @ spoils. 12/1 Laddies EW in the OR. They've had a good FBD: Drew with Mayo. Beat Roscommon and NUIG. They beat the Gaurds easy enough yesterday, but without Miskella the Gardai were no great shakes. I think that's where the bookies fcuked up yesterday. Miskella in the team may have made it a closer contest, but still would have had the same outcome imo

Bookies don't normally price this up until the finals weekend, so nice to see them offering a punt, irrespective of the squeeky prices.

Realistically you're looking at one semi of UUJ v CIT/DCU. I have a feeling that CIT will shave this. Apparently DCU lost Seanie Johnston yesterday with an elbow injury and they aren't playing spectacularly well. As always, they have all the big name players and should in theory be there or there abouts every year for the past 4 or 5. But, they flatter to deceive. Never are well drilled as a team.

UUJ @ 7/2 as faves was probably about right for them. Playing very well all year and they'll defo be strong as a team. I'd disregard the 1 point victory over QUB yesterday, as they were always gonna kick 7 colours of proverbial out of each other.

CIT @ 11/2 was a decent price, considering they're reigning Sigerson champs and hold quality players like Daniel Goulding and Kerrigan. They're enough to win any Sigerson if you throw a decent back line with them!

In the other semi I'd say it'll be UCC (to beat GMIT) v Sligo (to beat Athlone). This could be a close one.

I don't know much about UCC, but they've had a few games now, so must be ok. They beat DIT and NUIG to get to 1/4 final.

Sligo have just lost Alan Costello through sending off yesterday, but they have are pretty solid all through. Steven Coen and Alan Freeman up front are very strong. Throw Jonny Davey and Barry Dunion in there as arguably 2 of the best wing backs in the country and they are a team that moves the ball very well.

I know that all the players hammered the bookies in Sligo yesterday, so it's always a good sign when you have a team punting on themselves... to WIN! ;)

Any other thoughts from you shroodies?
