blaze brightly looks solid in the first. fast time in nursery last time over track-and-trip. bet365 holding the 9/4 (with 2s gone elsewhere) - must be on a long lunch
also watch this interesting in last. should be suited by step up in trip after staying on well over 1m last time when never getting a good position. |
|
By:
watch this looks like he'll be suited by the step up and stayed on well latest
hopefully he'll settle and keep his head down for u..he looks like a bit of a character gl |

3 for me tonight at ew prices:
6.30 Bellini Bliss (each way) made a promising start to her racing career when a staying on 5th of 14 in a 7f maiden here at Dundalk. She was settled in second last early on and looked a bit green running around the first few bends. The first 4 home were pretty much the first 4 throughout the race and Bellini Bliss did best of those coming from behind. The extra furlong today will suit and she is sure to come on plenty for the experience. At 12/1 PP she looks a good each way bet. 7.00 Do The Deal (each way) has put in good runs on his last 2 outings, both over 1m3f here at Dundalk off similar marks when 3rd and 5th, not beaten far in either. He has travelled well throughout the races but didnt appear to stay the longer trip. I think the drop back to a mile will suit and with Kevin Manning booked to ride he could be a good each way bet at 14/1 PP 8.30 Palazzone (each way) is 3 from 8 at Dundalk and won over CD in nursery last season. He won over 7f here 3 runs ago off 94 and he was a bit unlucky in running last time when 5th again over 7f. He didnt get a clear run early in the straight but stayed on to only be beaten 1¾ lengths. Off the same mark today I think hes a good each way bet at 12/1 (Lads) coming from a useful draw in stall 3. |

Do The Deal (7pm) only bet of the night for me.

6.30 Blaze Brightly - was a good second last time, would like to see it dropped down to 7f again though, dunno if it fully stays the mile- Will lay off me stake if it drops to 1.5 ish ir just incase
7.00 Intyre Trail was very impressive last time imo wen travelling well and staying on strongly up the straight to win going away- has gone up 8lbs for that win but looks like it may have more improvement to come 7.20 Miss Velocity was just touched off by a sh over 6f here on Wednesday night, steps up to 7f here which should suit, a good draw in stall 6 and should make a bold bid imo 8.00 im willing to take another chance on Excellerate here, even though he was a very disappointing last, on his run a week ago wen a hot favourite- that run was too bad to be true imo so worth an e/w bet here @ 5/1 8.30 Copper Dock been in the form of his life lately, has gone up 3lbs for his staying on second last time over CD but looks a very solid e/w bet at 6/1 9.00 Dunno wats heppening Larkwing in the market here, 10s and 1s generally but 11/4 at 2 books?? ANyway this is a good race with any number of em in with chances, i do think Show Blessed is overpriced with Pat Smullen up at 16/1 an e/w bet for me 9.25 Night Spark (nap) landed a gamble last time wen just holdin on over 1m4f here, has gone up 7lbs for that win but drops down 2f in trip which is a big bonus and could be tough to peg back from a plum stall 1 draw |

Bit annoyed over the SP only part of the competition. Regal was at least 20/1 this morning and possibly bigger. It really doesn't do anyone who picks big priced selections any favours as the oncourse books dont lay 20/1+ in handicaps except in the real big races. Nice being in the biggest tip lead though its only a matter of when and not if I am passed I can see your point Duck. Maybe they could shake it up a bit for the second half of the competition for people who tip big priced horses. David Coleman (track bookie) had a notice at his pitch recently. Anyone who backed a 12/1 winner got 4 points longer and 20/1 or more 6 points longer. Betfair SP would still be longer. |

Meant to ask...
What was the bust up in the weigh room with that bully Colm O'D about ???? |
|
By:
mullins hampered him in the race.....colm had a little 'word' with danny.......complaint with turf club stewards now
|
|
By:
Mullins/O'Donoghue referred on for further investigation
Sat, 28th Nov, 2009 The Stewards received a complaint after the running of the fifth race from Danny Mullins, rider that Colm O'Donoghue, rider had physically attacked him in the changing-room after this race. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned, in the presence of Mr Niall Amond, authorised representative for Willie Mullins, trainer who attended on behalf of Jim Bolger, trainer and master of Danny Mullins. Having considered the seriousness of the allegation and the fact that there was a conflict in the evidence provided, plus the fact that Jim Bolger, trainer and master of Danny Mullins was not present the Stewards referred the whole matter onto the Chief Executive of the Turf Club for further investigation. |

By:
Tks....missed that news item......can't wait for young Danny to get bigger !
|
|
By:
He will have to if he wants to stop Colm O Donoghue thumping him. Hiding behind Uncle Willie then.

Danny imo is as honest as the day is long. Your man has picked up mega prize money for A P O'Brien over the last few years. he ought to have known that the next day on the race course he could have paid him back in spades.
I hope the riot book is read to him and he gets the max suspension. |
