Russell is better than anyone bar Ruby.

Anybody who replaces David Russell with Matt O Connor doesnt deserve to have winners. Its a vastly over rated animal anyway and always was even from its earlier days.Anytime its ran against good horses it was put firmly in its place.Owners are fickle and are always looking for excuses and with Colm there will never be a shortage of excuses.

Cannot disagree too much with that jimeen.

No doubting Russell's ability in the saddle, but as a person, I cannot abide him.

Trip looks far too short for the horse anyway and he has no right to get near the fav.

Russell has ridden some shocking races in the past 6 months.

Hardly fair to say the owners, unless you have been speaking to a few of them. I would be very surprised if many of them have conveyed their thoughts about any race that he has run in to people that would be in a position to highlight it in public.

Not necessarily so CD.

Big fan of Davy's and he's had some great rides in the past year, but he's also had some awful ones too.
Sam Adams the last day was either very poor or very wrong!

Good point joe. Well articulated.

Very true downallstar.

Sam Adams strikes me as a horse that could be a well weighted animal in the Irish Grand National this year. How they go about getting his optimum weight allocation is another matter.

Ok i dont think Russell is as bad as some make out in his "intentions", but personally just my opinion, i feel hes below top class. Good few jockeys who i would have up before him. I think hes over rated. He rides to his ability though imho.

Excellent horseman. Of that there is no doubt.

Judged purely by his skill in the saddle, he is very much in the upper echelon of riders in the past 15 years.

thought he put up excellent display today, aslong as he travels over well and goes for the RSA his in with a big shout. The winner is a very good animal and Vinny beaten over a length is ground that he hated.

Iam excited!

I know he has more odds on shots than any other stable. But I`d be pretty sure he has a disproportionate amount of losers to winners also. Just as well he`s not a punters fav!
