nothing wrong with flanagan. has had some nice big race winners. won on houdini before too if im not mistaken.

Flanagan is pretty rubbish imo. That houdini was at his best the day Ruby rode him and that is no coincidence.

so he mustn't have been at his best on the days when flanagan and madden won on him.

Im not having a go at flanagan though i think there are many jocks better than him
For such a big event like a welsh national i would have booked one of the top professional jockeys
Maybe to be fair to connections with leopardstown and limerick on their options were curtailed

Explain that please. You don't have a clue about racing in general.

that was your bullsh1t statement.
flanagan and madden have won races on him so he was obviously fairly near his best on those days too.

i'm not a huge fan of ruby off a horse but houdini's win in galway this year under ruby was in my opinion his best performance by 7-10lbs, i don't think it's any coincidence...it's a stretch to say he'd have been competitive today under ruby, but there is no doubt faced with a choice of having or not having ruby you'd choose to have him

My statement made perfect sense. Crouchingtigerhiddennaggin got what I meant. It is a pity, but hardly surprising, that you did not.

Flanagan has done well on the horse and he deserved his chance on a big day.

most large syndicates will always opt for a high profile jockey if available..........no loyalty but members get to shake their hand.......
