Evening all. Anybody care to share one you`ve been waiting to back over Christmas, and a particular race you`re looking forward to? I`m planning on weighing in with Starluck at Kempton. Should be a bit of value. As for a race. If that lot declared for the big Novice chase on Sat at L`town all show up, it`ll be some contest.
Albertas run e/w 1/4 1,2,3 in the w/o Kauto market at 12s looks a fair bet to me- missed the 14s :( Stayed on well to take second in the race last year- beat a good field fto this year at Ascot with VPU/Schindlers Hunt behind behind- has grund to make up on Deep Purple and Tartak from their meetin last time but can hopefully reach the places here
Casey Supreme e/w in the Paddy Power @ 12/1 seems a very fair price to me - probably a bit harsh that he's gone up 7lbs for being beat by Beroni last time but his last 3 runs over hurdles and fences have been very solid imo a wide margin winner @ Down Royal, then 2nd to Operation Houdini over hurdles and Beroni in the Troytown, will go on the ground, stays the trip, good e/w bet imo - and in the same race why is Siegemaster 25/1? If he is confirmed as a runner i'll have some of that e/w too

Fair play BJG. Thorough as ever. I was planning on having a decent bet on Albertas w/o Kauto after he ran at Ascot but that Huntingdon run has put me off tbh.

The Welsh National a bit more confusing - Beroni won off 119 last time was raised 20lbs for that but is racing off 148 in this :0 Our Monty won off 110 last time, raised to 135 and down to race off 142 here! Am i right with the 2 of these cuz it seems like a fierce hike??? Both won extremely easily last time but gonna be a tough task if either or both turn up imo
L'Aventure if she gets a run could give a good run at around the 25/1 mark, strong stayer, looked back to form last time, will be a lot worse 25/1 shots imo and worth an e/w play

Deep Purple my bet w/o Kauto, may add an ew bet as well. Be seriously pi$$ed off if Alberta's run wins! Backed him lto against my better judgement, but really think DP is a great ew bet and a very much improved horse, a bit like Khyber Kim over hurdles, may still be underestimated here by the layers.
Am sticking with Joncol in the Lexus, will see how the vibes are about Cooldine regarding a saver, think What a Friend looks a massive danger though.
In the PP, if Gungadu runs off top weight, I think Siegemaster is a serious ew bet at 25/1!! He wasn't far off G1 level as a novice and looks well treated, have taken a nibble at the 25s, and will see what the dec's bring. Like Dooneys Gate also.
Gone for Voler in the December Hurdle, hope she runs now that H Fly is out. Am a massive fan of both her and Solwhit, but have to go for the mare at the prices, esp given the line through Go Native, however feasible that is.
Wait for the dec's before deciding much else.

The ground should be reasonable for this time of year, not a lot of rain forecast, Saturday is likely to be the worst, but may only be heavy showers, good chance of Soft being the official going.

Went in large on Solwhit at 9/4 after I heard HF was out, so obviously hoping he wins, see Volar La Vedette as the only danger.
Can't wait for the novice chase on Boxing Day and hope Sizing Europe or Sports Line win as I have backed them both for the Arkle. Gunna be a great race.
I can't wait for the Christmas Hurdle, Binocular, Go Native and Starluck all turning up, not sure who I will back If I do though.
And obviously hoping Kauto bolts up.

WILLIE MULLINS has taken out all of his entries for Monday's Coral Welsh National at Tuesday's forfeit stage, including leading fancies Our Monty and Beroni. The pair, general 8-1 and 10-1 chances respectively prior to the forfeits, were among six Mullins-trained horses in the Chepstow race.
Ante-post market leader Le Beau Bai stands his ground, as does the well-fancied Paul Nicholls-trained runner The Tother One, who is joined by stablemates Nozic and Cornish Sett in the list of 33 remaining entries.
Operation Houdini, winner of the Proudstown Handicap Hurdle at Navan earlier this month, is still in the race. However connections are yet to decide which engagement to honour, with the seven-year-old also holding an entry for the Paddy Power Chase at Leopardstown 24 hours earlier.

Go Native good thing for the Christmas Hurdle - will be interesting to see what price he'll be, prob around the 3/1 mark! Think Osana could overturn Sizing Europe in the G1 nov chase. I like Dooneys Gate & Ballytrim in the PP and I think Golden Silver will win the G1 2m chase. Schindlers Hunt e/w in the Lexus, Muirhead in the G1 hurdle and Mikael in Tuesday's beginners chase. Best Christmas meeting at Leopardstown I can remember!

If I owned a good un, I would have BJG up all day long. Say what you like about Ruby being a great horseman, but you can guarantee that Barry would f#ck him into the last if it came down a battle. Watch the reruns of Forpady and Fingeronthepulse at Chelters. What's more, you could toast his success over a few jars with him after racing unlike that Walsh c#nt.
