Yes, very best wishes.

Thought TV3's coverage yesterday was disgusting, but that's a side issue. Get well soon.

tv3 did what they are supposed to do in the public interest. Would most of you skangers prefer a cover up?

Report Biodiesel December 27, 2009 9:10 PM GMT
he did alot in saving the banks from going under and preventing social unrest in guaranteeing banks deposits, he didnt have to save them he had to.
Report glenivy December 27, 2009 9:12 PM GMT
yet took 1 billion or so away from the health service, including cancer services witch means people will be waiting longer for tests, consultnts and treatments.
Report dillinger December 27, 2009 9:34 PM GMT
very sad news and we should be ignoring political comments right now
Report big_dunc December 28, 2009 4:29 AM GMT
glenlivy, a cancer on society. Get well, Brian.
Report glenivy December 28, 2009 7:43 AM GMT
the cancer is ff and the braindead idiots who keep reelecting them. they continue to divy up the countries wealth between themselfs and other vested interests while the ordinary joe soap gets screwed with more taxes for less services.lenihan showed no sympathy when cutting funds to the hse while helping out the bankers and builders. why should we show him any now.

Glenivy, I suspect you have never had someone close to you go through the mill when being diagnosed with cancer given your comments. Instead you have tried to turn it into an anti FF rant. Grow up.
Report glenivy December 28, 2009 10:53 AM GMT
ive been through tc myself, i know that road. i also know cutting monies available to the health service as he did when other options were available will result in more pain and anxiety to those that are facing a serious illness. there was no mercy showed to those people, perhaps your well wishes and sympathies should be directed there.

health boards are to follow people through the courts in the new year for unpaid bills. North Eastern health board owed 7 million in unpaid hospital bills.

Whether you like lenihan or not one must sympathise with the guy. He isnt a criminal and only did what he thought best in his role as minister
Best of luck to the guy
Report great grey December 28, 2009 8:11 PM GMT
glenlivy, this administration has quadrupled the amount of money to the health sector in the last 8 years. very little of this money went into building new hospitals or new beds. most of this increased expenditure went towards increasing salaries and pensions which this state can no longer afford.
Report glenivy December 28, 2009 8:43 PM GMT
grey, crumlins childrens hospital had to close wards earlier on in the years because of lack of funding .why can banks be giving emergency funding without questiion but a fraction of what was given to the banks to keep crumlins c h open couldnt be found.

Ye are all well able to** glenivy here and justifiably many would say bit his argument is compelling.
I wonder how much of a factor the stress and the workload Lenihan has faced in the last 18 months has been in bringing Cancer to the fore.
One thing is for certain anyway it is the final blow for Fianna Fail if he has to take an extended period off.
Report Steveirll December 28, 2009 9:03 PM GMT
what did TV3 do ?
Report closure December 28, 2009 9:10 PM GMT
Went public with it despite an agreed embargo amongst the media
Report redroar December 28, 2009 10:03 PM GMT
