THE ground at Limerick was changed to heavy on Friday afternoon following rain during the day, and no inspection is planned for Saturday's meeting.
Racecourse spokesman Steve McDonagh said: "The frost has gone and everything is fine for Saturday's meeting. We've changed the ground description to heavy following seven millimetres of rain."

Gonna be cold - nap :(

12.35 - not a bad maiden hurdle to start things off but Quito De La Roque rates as Nap material for me here - won a ptp on his only start then ran a crackin race first time under rules wen second behind Glenstal Abbey in heavy ground also so tomorrows ground should nt prove a problem! Travelled well from the back and looked a big danger to the winner going to 2 out but his jumps at the last 2 hurdles were nt great, and just flattened out a bit- but was still an excellent debut and with that run under his belt and stepping up 2f in trip, which should suit imo, gonna be tough to beat here

2.45 - Dolly Hall was a very unlucky loser last time imo in a very messy race coming to the last at Cork wen gettin checked twice, and eating up the ground at the death can gain compensation here

3.15 Depending on price Taradoun worth an e/w play imo, ground wont be a problem, jumps well, been second on both chase startsl- chased home Apt Approach last time, and rates a solid e/w bet if 5 or 6/1 imo

gl ;)

I wouldn't back Quiscover Fontaine first time over fences against the calibre of opposition he's meeting.

Should note I like Taradoun in that race also.

Limerick has two chases on Saturday's card and a decision on whether they are run will be made during that lunchtime inspection.

Track spokesman Steve McDonagh said:" We had a far worse frost than we were expecting last night and parts of the chase track are unraceable.

"We are working at trying to improve the situation and are forking the parts of the ground which are frozen.

"We will decide at noon whether the chases will go-ahead but the four hurdle races and the bumper will be run."

Horse jumped just as badly at Thurles last week. Intensive schooling required because horse certainly has a decent engine.

I take back what I said about the Pilot on RBB. The horse was no help to him. I felt he had hotten the horse unsettled but that was not the case. Badly wanted winner in any case so no complaints
