Nt the most punter friendly card imo

Alaivan makes his eagerly awaited hurdles debut in the first, with ground to suit should take this on route to better things

1.10 Luska Lad ran too bad to be true last time and if back to form after that should take this, will wait to see wat price he is first though

In the 1.45 Alice Bradys Call should be able to get off the mark takin a big step down in class- havin been 3rd behind Dunguib and Some Present last time

The bumper looks a very weak affair and Bold Banks wont have to be anythin special to take this first time up

2.20 Carlas Dream worth an e/w shout in this open affair,
Has won on heavy ground and over the trip and has a nice racing weight of 10st3lbs

2.55 Doc O Donnell e/w a speculative shout- was a big price wen beating Pay the Bounty(who opposes tomorrow fto)in a bumper!
Ran well enough wen 6th on his first run over hurdles behind Rhyl Accord, will hopefully improve for the run back and can go close here
Report Rowley Mile December 10, 2009 7:04 PM GMT
Lol the bumper looks like one of the weakest you could see in Ireland.

The dam of the top horse, ran in no less than 13 bumpers and placed in 5.

BJG, wonder why LL ran so bad last time and surely ABC comes under the dog category after his performance behind SP at Punch!!
Report one last chance December 10, 2009 10:00 PM GMT
A B C has ran in some very good races tho imo shub be winning this
Report downallstar December 10, 2009 10:06 PM GMT
I'd prefer to back the stablemate than Luska.
ABC should win.
Like that mares 2m4f hcap.... still trying to figure it out though....

My 3 for today:

12.10 Surprise Vendor (each way) won on his hurdling debut on heavy at Roscommon in August. He then ran well in 4th under a penalty in a Listowel hurdle, won by Mosstown who was placed in a grade 3 hurdle on next NH start. The 3rd also franked the form by winning next time out. He put in a good effort on the flat at Dundalk before finishing 5th in a grade 3 hurdle at Fairyhouse on heavy last time out. He has the hurdling experience and although there are some highly rated flat horses having their hurdling debut it might pay to go for one proven on such testing ground over hurdles. 7/1 Generally

2.20 Dolly Hall (each way) for Liam Burke and Davy Russell who have teamed up for 3 winners from 11 runners together this season. Dolly Hall showed good form in bumpers and was thought good enough to begin her hurdling career in a grade 3 hurdle at the Fairyhouse National festival. She was well beaten that day but won on her next start in a 2m4f Clonmel maiden hurdle. She disappointed first time out this season but put in her best effort to date when 3rd behind Fionnegas at Clonmel last time out. She has her first run in a handicap today and off 102 she looks capable of a big run considering trip and ground will suit. 8/1 Hills

2.55 Boxing Along (each way) won a point to point over 3 miles and then finished 2nd on his next two starts in 3m point to points before he made his debut under rules. He was a staying on 4th in a 2m4f Cork maiden hurdle on soft to heavy. The 3rd Castle Anshan won yesterday. Boxing Along should be suited by the step up to 3 miles today and going suits so he should go close. 14/1 Hills/Lads looks v. big to me

Race 1) Alaivan (1/3f) Won as expected for the back in form O'Grady yard. (2/5 am)

Race 2) Roi Du Mee (12/1) Unusual to see a hurdling debutant succeed. The King's Sword (4/5f) well backed (13/8am) a poor 3rd.

Race 3) Luska Lad (2/1) About time the shark had a winner. The form horse if back to his best.

Race 4) King Of Ardcarne (25/1) A bookies benefit for Ennis/I McCarthy. Alice Bradys Call (4/7f) runner up. Easy to back on the exchanges.

Race 5) Kot's Terry (11/1). Unusual to see the Byrnes yard strike without the money down.. Parknakyle (7/2f) Steady as she goes 4th.

Race 6) Cheeky (12/1) Nice for Ms M O'Sullivan who I don't know much about. Hughies Grey (7/4f). A second misplaced gamble for the Torrens yard in successive days. Runner up.

Race 7) Knight Realm (7/1) Steady as she goes held on well for the Foley yard. Bold Banks (4/7f) another odds on defeat for the Mullins yard. Runner Up.

I am delighted for the ontrack bookies who hopefully got a few bob for a change.
