Not quite Old Moore's Almanack but here's my predictions for 2010:

1. The bloodstock industry in Ireland the UK will be devastated when the Dubai millions disappear.
2. Prizemoney levels will fall to all-time lows
3. Foal numbers will fall to 1980 levels
4. Stallions will cover no more than 100 mares
5. Thurles will win racecourse of the year
6. An on-course, on-duty national hunt steward (non-stipe) will fail the breathalyser at Galway
7. Goffs will go into voluntary liquidation
8. Dundalk will have no on-course bookies due to picketing
9. ITM will have its budget increased and 80% or our stock will be exported to Turkey, India and the Czech Republic.
10. The Irish Field will be published on 19th June 2010 without a photograph of Leo Powell.
