Young irish lad who plays in the Arsenal reserves. Is an excellent striker of the ball and takes his finishes with aplomb. Have not seen much of him, so cant comment on his all round game etc , but he might be one for the future.

I think i read something a while ago about him being undecided as to who he wants to play for Ire or Eng :0

A fast and energetic instinctive finisher, Rhys scored an incredible 17 goals in just 21 games for the Under-18s last season.

The highlight was a remarkable purple patch which saw him bag a brace in five consecutive matches.

The former Wimbledon youngster's performances at Under-18 level earned him two substitute appearances for Neil Banfield's Reserves.

Rhys, who was promoted a year at his Brighton school to allow him to balance his schoolwork and training with Arsenal, will be hoping for more second-string chances in the season ahead.

Few strikers in the current Arsenal set-up are as clinical as Rhys. And, despite a series of injuries last season, the England youth international ?:| once again proved his caliber in front of goal with a clutch of vital goals for the Under-18s.

First he bagged an instinctive brace in the Gunners FA Youth Cup Third Round victory over Aston Villa. Then, in his first appearance after a seven-week injury lay-off, Rhys plundered a sublime third in Arsenals 3-1 Quarter-Final victory over Tottenham. More injuries were forthcoming but again his return was explosive, hitting winning goals in the Premier Academy League Semi-Final and Final.

His subtle stealth and natural prowess in and around the penalty area ensure a fully fit Rhys will be among the goals this season
