USA horses seldom travel overseas for several reasons :
1. They have no home advantage .
2. They cannot use their (normal ) medication .
3. They probably ( like 96% of their human population ) dont have passports .

See the Stars owners were right , nothing left to prove , and unwilling to race on a strange surface at the end of a run a month campaign against horses full of Lasix . 100% behind their decision .

It's extremely difficult to travel, to change surfaces and succeed I agree but surely then you're not comparing like with like and you can't say American horses are overhyped. On the flip side, American horses regularly go to Dubai and do well. Better than Europeans do in the US, even on synthetic.

As far as I can gather American horses are permitted to use certain types of steroids as running on the surfaces that they do over a prolonged period would destroy their legs on the long run without some sort of medication. Also that European racing is very much in the power of the breeders while America's is less so and the European authoritys have a much stricter policy to medication in general. For what its worth STS would batter any American competition with ease I think as well.

I would say john oxx is a very happy man they retired STS , the long hard campaign hampered AOB horses , its tough to keep it going for so long + the travel
Conduit had a light campaign compared to MCM and RVW.
