As a Red Sox Fan - Im going with the team that are not the Yankees - Just hope the waiting for the AL to finish hasnt rusted them up .

Love the Phillies starting pitching rotation - I think they are much deeper in starting pitching than the Yankees with Cliff Lee being a good match for the Yankee's Ace Sabathia and the likes of Pedro, Hamels, Blanton and Happ stronger imo than Burnett, Pettite and whoever the Yankees chose from Hughes/Gaudin/Chamberlain to pad out their rotation.

Both teams have great hitting so for me the pitching matchups determine the series. Phillies are the value bet.

Good points GV - The last few years the pitching has really decided the playoffs but I feel it hasnt been the story this year - Apart from CC & Lee I think it depend what side of the bed the likes of Hamels Blanton Happ Burnett Pettite get out of that morning. So hoping for a few runs and the Phillies to Outgun the Billionaires.

Forecast is for some dodgy weather in NY tonight. Hope Game 1 is not rained off.
