Hi everyone I am going to list below five horses renowned for their special achievements in horse racing, so of the following five which is the top for you and why, as follows,
BADSWORTH BOY, only horse to win the Champion Chase three times in a row, 83,84,85.
BEST MATE, three consecutive Gold Cups.
DAWN RUN, only horse to win the Champion Hurdle and the Gold Cup and a mare also.
OH SO SHARPE, won the fillies triple crown in 1985, 1000gns, Oaks, St Leger.
RED RUM, only horse to win the Grand National three times.
To get things started for me its DAWN RUN, this is the one thats most unlikely to ever be replicated

I couldn't separate Dawn Run and Red Rum.
Not sure how you picked them. Best Mate wasn't close to being a great Gold Cup winner. He wouldn't have been in the same parish as Arkle. Wrapped up in cotton wool, and similarly to Kauto Star, I don't remember him running in a handicap. I think a healthy Looks Like Trouble would have seen him off.

woulda coulda shoulda. Clear to me what best horseracing achievements means (not greatest horse), and got me thinking. For me it has to be Red Rum as too young to remember Arkle. To do what he did before the fences were modified was an incredible achievement.....never to be repeated for obvious reasons.
Best Mate and Kauto Star both ran in 2 handicaps
Kauto Star has to be in the top 5. Instead of Best Mate. His durability and longevity was breathtaking. 5 king George's 4 betfair chases. 2 Cheltenham gold cups. 2 tingle creeks. To name but 4 of his achievements. Somehow never got full recognition. His record will never be repeated.
