Agree, as others have pointed out here and before, about the choice to rely on FOBT or slot machines, for survival. Their business choice no-one elses.

That's tragic. I hope an accident inquiry to determine what the cause was is thorough. I think the heli ride is quite popular with tourists to Vegas.

I've been on one of these. There are dozens of these trips per day so one accident in 2018 shouldn't put anyone off in my opinion. It's an awesome spectacle, plus the fly back over the strip.

Would a drone be operated from a hotel in Vegas to the Grand canyon? There would be no risk involved this way.

AI Assistant reckons :
The chances of your helicopter crashing during a Las Vegas tour are incredibly low. Statistically, your risk of a fatality on a commercial air tour is estimated to be roughly 0.05 deaths per 100,000 passengers, which translates to a microscopic 0.0005% chance. How Safe Are the Tours? To put the numbers into perspective, you are far more likely to get into a serious car accident driving to the airport than you are to crash during the flight. Across the hundreds of thousands of tourists who take scenic flights over the Las Vegas Strip, Hoover Dam, and the Grand Canyon every year, accidents are rare anomalies. According to broader National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) data, commercial helicopters average about 3.92 accidents per 100,000 flight hours, with a fatal accident rate of 0.69 per 100,000 hours. Because the typical Las Vegas or Grand Canyon flight lasts between 30 to 90 minutes, your individual risk per flight is a small fraction of that hourly rate. |

On reading that I would take the risk.

Sorry, for delayed response, I have just been working out a way to dictate to my desktop because it's internal microphone seems to be not working ... I have found a way using my iPhone as a mic (using continuity camera) I said : I have never played FOBT's and I never will. I'm feeling a lot better after quite a difficult previous 12 months...how about yourself ? |
|
By:
of course I could have just opened the forum on my iPhone and it is easy to dictate a post as I am doing now

Apple messed up the microphone when they repaired a failed hard disk...last time I took it in to White city, Shepherds Bush.... it was working fine before I had the repair.

Its been a tough year lost my dad and the wife has had breast cancer sorry you have had a bad year hope it improves for you. Ronnie. |
|
By:
I do not know what your ailment is. I hope you feel more comfortable each. Yes, I do mean a non-passenger drone. I think it's considerably safer on a heli than a driver-less taxi.

@Ronnie sorry to hear that.... hope any treatment is successful for her.... my wife had a non malignant tumour taken out from her breast… I lost my dad in 2019 and my mum in 2018.... in the last year have had some serious problems with another family member.
@impossible123 I am physically fine except for a blocked nose which I have had for two years and have not been able to smell anything.... going to get it sorted out soon hopefully…… my problems stem from another family member so you are talking about a drone with a camera on and people could watch live video from the drone in their hotel rooms? |
