Giving it a go.

Cannot remember the last day I did not have a drink.

So probably in need of a de-tox.

Mrs B on the wagon with me too.

Sober a bad idea IMO, but cutting down very sensible. That's the way I prefer it anyway. Grin

I'm in after today. If I crack, I will let it be known.

Aye, the calories must add up if you have a few a day. I just like the taste of new world hops, mosaic, citra etc.

Good luck , barstool
I did it starting about May 2022, for a year, just to prove to the missus that I could.
Went straight back on it, but not as much, still drinking every day now
There are are some good zero beers around...the zero % Guinness is really good, about one pound a can at Tesco
Report SlippyBlue • October 1, 2026 9:44 PM BST
March 2020 was the last time I had a beer so 6 & 1/2 years now.

I feel so much more relaxed and motivated about pretty much everything really now.
It has never bothered me at all others drinking around me especially at the races where family and friends all like sinking a good few during the day. I never think about it now, completely gone.

I'm 5 years off it this week.If I hadn't given it up I probably wouldn't be here -I had an undiagnosed brain tumour. Two years ago I had a zero zero Estrella with the lads on Gold Cup night. The wife collected me and wanted to know why I was back on the beer-it was just the buzz of a Good day gambling with mares and talking about the usual ****.
Report Eddie Batt • October 1, 2026 11:34 PM BST
Mates not mares.
Report formoftheace • October 2, 2026 7:32 AM BST
Has anyone ever enjoyed the taste of booze or is it all about the buzz……there are lots of alcohol drinks out there that are absolutely dreadful…
