Backed it yesterday at 50/1 before the bandwagon started up. Had a few good returns off the horse with both trainers. Not had any luck in the race. In 2022 I backed the 2nd 3rd and 4th in a race that was won by a horse ridden by Tudhope that I had backed numerous times before. It's all about being lucky enough to be in the right place on the track. You can run perfectly well, but not be involved in the finish. Same for so many of these big field handicaps.
Not sure very deep ground will suit either of mine - the other is Stratusnine - but the hope with Pellitory is that he will travel long enough on the bridle to not get involved in too much of a slog. Drop in trip should help with these conditions.
