He is referred to in the article and it's not behind a paywall:

Even Serpentine, a lucky winner of a ridiculous-looking Derby in 2020, was never 50s. He went on a long losing run, was gelded and shipped to the other side of the world, where he took part in two Melbourne Cups, but 40-1 is the biggest price recorded in his form.

Those who got the odds for Christmas Day on Derby day don’t care for his odds after.

But it’s true they’ve ran horses that could have targeted other races within their ability set and done better with them.

They aren’t running to obtain the best possible position and need taking to task over this.

They are put in early season to confuse punters as to which is the number one.

As you saw in the 1000 Guineas.

Scabs.

Delashay -- "They are put in early season to confuse punters as to which is the number one."

No they're not. Coolmore don't give a damn about punters. Not helping them; not putting them away. It's a billion pound (well, euro) breeding business.

If there's nothing outstanding, Aidan talks them all up, and never says anything negative about any of them. They run a handful of same-ish horses in the Derby (or other top races) and then whether it is Flying Dancer or Dancing Flyer who wins, he then gets talked up again with all Aidan's previous positive quotes resurrected for the stallion adverts.

Punters may well be confused but that's just collateral damage, not the aim. Magnier's not poised over the pink button.
