A Boy Names Susie would have beat Constitution River, and gone close if he wasnt so badly hampered by the winner. Amazing an inquiry was not called.

Constitution River has not run his race.
The yard obviously has a bug.

I only watched the once Brandy on the tiny screen from their feed, having seen it again just now the horse never had the pace nor strength to hold his ground. I don’t think that he’d of beaten him anyway. They maybe should have gone to York looks like it needs further ie the JC distance or more.
Report Delashay September 13, 2026 8:57 AM BST
For those saying that Moore went too early, he notoriously rousts his horses from a long way out. They lengthen rather than instantly accelerate.

headway over 1f out, soon led, headed inside final 110yds

If he doesn’t go 1f out when’s he meant to get going?

Brandy thinks there’s a bug, I’m meant to be Mr Conspiracy, I think the horses are feeling the season and have been well over rated for the faces of the races that they’ve ran in.

Earlier in the year the French were lauding that their JC winner was rated above the Epsom Derby winner, look how that’s turned out!

Politics isn’t a place for racing and I take these ratings with a pinch of salt.

Ratings aren’t the be all and end all, they can also be wrong or raised for other reasons.

Before the Juddmonte I’d said on the Arc thread that Constitution River had been given the mark after the Eclipse that would place him in an Arc even see him win it.

After the Jockey Club he was rated 52.5 by the French handicapper.

After the Eclipse where he beat the same horse again A Boy Named Susie a length more he was shunted upwards to 56!

That to me was an over exaggeration aimed at boosting the profile of the Prix DubJockey Club.

I’m wary of horses that are given high ratings for beating the same opponents over and over.

When you consider that Daryz is on 57.5 I think it makes his mark even more of an inflated rating where other outside factors or biases come into play.

From another thread but these ratings need reviewing ASAP
Report Delashay September 13, 2026 9:03 AM BST
Daryz is on 57.5 only a kilo and half more and not dropped for his Ascot run.

out today fishing just the one race interests methe 13 .33 at paris longchamp ,there is not a lot between the field they seem to take turns winning and often  fine margins are crucial i like 2 monteille not won for a while but form lines with more fancied runners here give him a chance if he can recapture his best has a chance top on the ratings .also dovetieski soumi up and dropping back in trip a bit in and out but ability is there and around 20/1 could go well .
Report brandyontherocks September 13, 2026 9:50 AM BST
I feel Susie would have gone past Con River without the interference.
So either Susie did not perform to his best at Chantilly and Sandown, or Con River has not run to form here.

I do not think it is a conspiracy to think the O'brien yard has a bug. His strike rate recently is woeful.

I am not saying Con River is a superstar. Far from it.
Just a decent horse.

I have had a few shillings on Susie at 33s for Ascot next month.
Report Delashay September 13, 2026 9:50 AM BST
Good luck Foyles she’s much shorter than I thought she’d be, last time out she got no run, was hoping for 33’s! Laugh

The Spainyard was more positive of his other runner Estapona as Dov has a penalty I think?

I said about the Conspiracy in jest Brandy, as you’re aware people like to put tags on people.

Looks like many didn’t run their race yesterday and I’ve not been taken with his wins asides from Chester, that’s a long time ago.

I put up Pearled for that race at 66/1 just waiting to see where they go with him. But the 3 year old colts look much the much to me.

A few cracks appearing in early season form.

or Con River has not run to form here.

Yet he’s an ahead of his conquerors from York.

Think he ran his race and I’d be wary of backing him again, the hood the temperament ain’t looking good now.

The JC was a strange run race that played out perfectly for them.

He was Brandy and did you see Weaver mentioned him? Soumi wanted to ride him in the JC where I felt he couldn’t use his stride, the Noalles often suits horses who can go up in trip.

After yesterday and seeing Pc Boudout on Hawk Mountain, do we read into it that Soumi has said no to riding no hopers for AOB? Confused

I hope that he has and is riding horses who he feels has a chance because he’s still better than that role they gave him.
Report Delashay September 13, 2026 10:11 AM BST
They waiting to see the decs and the ground but have the Dollar/Ascot as an option.

I’d worry about him in the tunnel there but at those odds I’ll chance, he was off the longest of all the runners in the Niel, 70 days Soumi very tender.

The German Chiefland was also off longer.

Sunly was also off the longest on the Vermille 63

Worth looking back at those days off the track.
Report brandyontherocks September 13, 2026 10:11 AM BST
I hope so too.

I dont mind pacemakers, but the quality of horse they are prepared to sacrifice for their next super stallion is ridiculous.

The run from Action yesterday in the Leger shows he was ran as a blocker at York.
Report Delashay September 13, 2026 10:16 AM BST
Yes I saw you picked up on that, it’s disgusting really the fibs told after.

It makes me wary for next season, if you don’t know who the chosen one is then you’re doing your money going forwards in the season.

They told us it was Albert at 2 turned out to be Gasstad.
