I agree Herbie that the price is nowmad, he’s going in against G horses and if like Whippin’ you snagged the 12’s then I’d stay clear at those odds.

I’d brought up a post the other day where I like you had suggested that France might be a place for easier pickings over further.

Uptheirons, could you please repost anything that you have previously posted that is remotely of interest to others on here. From what I have read it seems that you have a very unhealthy obsession with formoftheace and to a lesser extent delashay. All you seem to do is stalk and slag them off whenever you can. Very very tedious, boring and annoying. Btw, yes it is an anonymous forum, but it is human beings who post on here, not robots.Sad......formoftheace seems to have the patience of a saint.Happy

What's going on here? The dummy is getting very obstreperous with his ventriloquist.

Will ED have a countdown Clock on the Screen on Saturday Leading up to the Return of the Hill ?

Barry Geraghty believes Constitution Hill has what it takes to be competitive on his first major test on the Flat after the nine-year-old was one of seven declared for Saturday's September Stakes at Kempton

Barry has confirmed he will be Oiled up while watching the race

Not proof.
It matters not a jot though

He was behind a solid yardstick in Germany, isn’t a horse I particularly have followed or like, but I followed the form.

Whatever…. You just caught me mid sentence of carrying on with further thoughts that carry onto Sunday but I’ll keep stum.

Ah fk it, on Sunday there’s a big race in Baden Baden, where Botti’s Giavellto goes.

Against him is a 3yr old called Bright Light, who has an Arc ambition.

He was catching Presscott’s mare Tiffany last time out with Tornado Alert in behind.

Whether this colt is fully wound up for this I don’t know?

But should the Godolphin colt win Saturday or run well then things or odds of 150/1 might look mad in the year of an open arc.

Out of interest Sadcrooks had him in at 100/1 but had the last time that I looked removed him from their market.

Whilst he was pushed out by other firms here has him the same @66/1

He’s stamina laden, loves soft and goes against another formline on Sunday.

He’s rated 118 or 119

Toreceto Tasso was rated the same when he won the ARC

Delashay - it's embarrassingly obvious...when another 9yo performer (Al Aasy) who appreciates cut wins a G2.

Cheers and I follow your logic Herbie and agree.

Hendo is clever as in he’s taking on horses that are prepping in large part for other races so won’t want to go into the red.

Looking forwards to this weekends racing after the recent lull in the action.

This is a tricky race. I think Gethin has the form but not the stamina. I like Tornado Alert and Almeric - the switch in jockeys could be significant. Pride Of Arras is too inconsistent, but could oblige with a big price.

I think Con Hill is too short, but he stays and the race would be run to suit. But, Con Hill is too far adrift in rating to win, I believe.

Ratings isn't everything, especially if you can't run to that level consistantly though

I fully expect CH to absolutely dot up in this now Cool and the more i look at it the more I am coming round to thinking it !! We don't know his ceiling and after two very comfortable successes in novice races with opposition whom don't consistantly race to their official ratings I can see him swinging in third or 2nd as they come to the two pole as given racing usually starts around the 3 pole at Kempton on the aw.

He has the speed after all

A third place finish is all they need though, we'll see, looking forwards to it, will be the only race I watch tomorrow

'lead on', sorry, I'm generally more definitive and positive and want to get involved. I'm dying to oppose Con Hill, but the opposition despite having the ratings on their side are either too inconsistent, stamina and suitability to the AW is not assured.

I'll watch the market and decide whether it's worth a play.
By:
Herbie-53
When: 04 Sep 26 13:38
I noticed on the RP racecard that Almeric has been a huge 40/1 at a recent stage for this race - I still think
there's plenty of value left in the 20s available though it's obviously rolling the dice on his AW debut.

Another outsider Warrant Holder may well have been heading the market if you drew a line through York last time
and is attractively priced at 9/1 - it wouldn't be a surprise if he won this well.

That pair are 5th & 6th choices of 7 in the betting and I'd fully expect both to be ahead of Constitution Hill if
there was any AvB betting...though I really do want to be wrong.

It's as competitive an AW race as I've seen considering there's only 7 runners and even the apparent búm of the race
Dubai Future has shown he can't be allowed a free reign as he turned over Sweet William & co. in the Henry II last May.

Really do wanna see Conrad take them apart but I can't see it happening...so as I've said, realistically, a promising
show seeing him running on well to get within 5 lengths of the principals would suffice for me.
By:
Herbie-53
When: 04 Sep 26 13:43
Imp - would it be fair to suggest that you think we could have a surprise with a Constitution Hill
win almost by default due to the opposition having plenty of holes in them?

I must admit to being totally dismissive of his chances due to the simple fact that he's got 10lb
to find officially with the second worse horse in the race...but that counter-angle provides optimism.

The fav is priced up on his runner up performance behind Ombudsman.
Ombudsman is a stone below his best at Sandown.
I think Constitution Hill has a great chance here against this lot.
Happy to take the 9/2.
He maybe 9, but what he has shown over hurdles is freakish. He is seriously talented.
Well done to those who took 12s earlier this week.

There’s many who are rating Gethin on his run against Ombudsman, the horse had shown the potential to run big that day in other runs.

He beat Saddadd 3. + lengths, he was only 3/4L away from Bay City in Ireland and Dawson was criticised for his ride in Ireland that day.

His only run at the trip he was beaten by a good sort in Best Secret who earlier this year thumped West Wind Blows by 3L.

We know that horse was beaten close by Calandagan and Kaplana.

I’d say Burrows knows what he’s doing and it’d be wrong to judge him only on that run this year as last year he’d shown what he was capable of before that run against Ombudsman.

Will I back at the price, no because he pulls too hard but I think they’ve got this jock on him because he knows him well and they’re hoping that he can get him to settle where Doyle couldn’t.

a few in this who may be better over shorter inc the fav gethin  and this small field it will prob be tactical  ,at the prices another old boy dubai future will stay has good course form has won plenty of races with some  good uns behind over the years ,obviously wont be improving at his age but given the doubts about most of the field could have  a better chance than the odds suggest ive had a few quid at big odds
