I have called him a con man elsewhere but I think there was more to it than that.
If you've landed yourself a nice number at a very prestigious university with a bit of plagiarism here and a few tweaks of the CV there,a really rational con man would keep a fairly low profile. He wouldn't make up silly stories like running marathons with a broken leg,which were very likely to attract attention.

In fact it could easily be argued that if the police had told him to bu gg er off, the times wouldn't have spiked the story nearly a year ago. But of course they couldn't do that, as their priority is 'social justice' above all else. Hence enabling murderers et al.

I know many aerospace enginners who work freelance (as myself) and i've seen their CV's on Linkedin. I would say 99% were 'exaggerated' a little and to be honest it's sort of expected anyway, you are trying to sell yourself to a company after all. Mind you, i haven't seen one that's taken it to another level as JA did.

He WAS actually awarded a PH.D and I believe had published some other stuff. I could be doing GLASGOW an injustice but I doubt he could lay claim to either.

Yes ss, it was a perfect storm. Lots of people had exposed him already, but if someone claims to have ran 30 marathons in 36 days and the last 6 on a broken leg, it becomes newsworthy when that person is a Cambridge professor, illiterate at 16, completed their degree with a brain tumour and the rest of it.
That's my point, if the cops had stayed out of it, most likely it would have ended up being a story for nerds reading the TES, ie just about the alleged plagiarism etc.

tradesmen working on construction sites/fab shop etc need what they call a SAFETY PASSPORT to work in them, pretty basic stuff with a few trade specific ?,s ,some of the auld lags used to hate doing them,multiple choice from 4 answers you needed 80% to pass, i did one once when STEELWORKS were retraing people etc , saved a £100 paying for my own and when we,d finished this lecturer give me.us a list of about 200 jobs,trades,careers.skills etc and said passing this safety passport allowed you to put any of this long list down on a CV as been competent to do the tak,job,skill, pretty mindblowing at the time,you used to get the odd guy that failed and you used to get a tap on the shoulder at your dersk aking you to leave, they called it THE WALK OF SHAME

So, so sad. Plagiarism could have been dealt with in another way. I think social media is responsible for his death - wrongly so regardless. Another life unnecessarily extinguished.

Christopher Antoniou allegedly invested £200,000 in Short’s betting system, hoping for huge profits – but he never saw the cash again and began to become suspicious after reading an article about the scheme in a newspaper.
Mr Antoniou often visited Short to talk over his investment and said he saw him placing bets by phone while watching races on TV and marking wins by chanting: ‘Who is the Betfair King?’
Short, of Chester, Cheshire, is accused of defrauding James Crawford out of £400,000, Mr Antoniou out of £200,000 and Melinda Barrett out of £20,000 between September 2008 and August 2009.
Mr Crawford, who met Short via his mother and step-father, Rosemary and Tom King, handed over £400,000 after mistakenly believing he was trading successfully, the court heard. He was allegedly told he would receive monthly dividend payments of £70,000, but they allegedly never materialised.
Short is charged with 13 counts of fraud and one count of making or supplying an article for use in fraud. The trial is expected to last three weeks.

Copyright is very hard to protect, but as an artist with an eye for detail you see it when it’s there.
When those who have taken from me on social media are calked out, there is the block button, but that doesn’t erase the proof with screen shots etc.

There is but one reason that he was not called out earlier in our Country

His boss Hil ary crem.....needs investigation.....she was invited over not long ago to queen's to be a examiner at a viva of a close family member.....she tried to make a mug of that member. ....not once not twice but 3 times.....she was told by the person chairing the meeting to basically shut her mouth
Anyone except those who are doolally and elderly "giving" money to any organisation or individual for a quick gain deserves whatever is coming to them. I'd have no sympathy for these individuals.

'Delashay', I understand what you're saying. For his plagiarism and deception Professor Arday should be addressed in court. However, those "individuals" who facilitated his deception ought to be castigated too.
