I agree with comment to stick to better grade races. At lower levels it if like lottery balls, no idea who will fall into the 1,2,3 holes. It is like trying to pick the best slice of bread in a sliced pan.

its well enough known that ironmaiden was part of carrolls for a while as a retained hairdresser but chucked it in when it became clear he had to be shorn 3 times a day

TC stable of last couple of seasons has changed imo . They've definitely become more shrewd and selective with certain horses. Yes they have a selection of moderate horses that just run every week, a scattergun approach. Another thing i noted is horses have been going in on their first run for the stable , clearly doing something to sweeten them.

He got a friend's horse to win second time out. It was well handicapped on it's 2 year old form but had been running like a drain with a top Yorkshire trainer. It was well backed into second favourite and won easy; that said they had expected it to win on it's first run for him.
