No Wootz thread

Absolutely sluiced up in a solid class 4 maiden at Ffos Las yesterday, at odds-on so not unexpected. One question might be why a Newmarket-trained horse was sent to Ffos Las for his debut. No fancy entries as of yet.

I had bet a small bet 10 mins before the race but when I saw Wootz I had a little swear to myself because just on looks I wanted to cancel my bet
It stood outan absolute mile.
Ran like it too.
Beat trees but looks a very very nice horse.

Another question might be why a 3-year-old is running for the first time in August. If he has been injured or out-of-sorts for the past 12 to 18 months, it might explain a comparatively low-key introduction at a course not known for fast ground.

But yes, very nice.

Beat a horse who's future will be 0-60 handicaps! Looked promising but talk of Group races is jumping the gun a bit IMO

That ride was a shocker . he knew he was on the best horse in what was a 2 horse race so why risk going over?
I agree it's potentially faster but surely you just keep close to your only rival

What I found a bit bonkers about the ride is you are clearly going best 3 furlongs out so why not just wait and wait and take it up approaching final furlong instead of giving the horse a hard race.

Perhaps it was because the horse was hanging like a gate,DBTB.
I am far from convinced that it was the best horse also.
