I believe there is a theory in broadcasting that young people love data, numbers, tables et al. My first hypothesis was that they are targeting some kind of subscription model/ addon, but now I suspect the producers feel that this will somehow attract a new generation.

Of course, there is scope for appropriate data that is informative. But as I said before, they see to decide which meetings and races to thoroughly analyse before the race. That palpably doesn't work, it means they reaching for angles and theories that just aren't there. To be fair, they had Willoughby doing that long before riq.
