Standard UK sentencing guidelines require offenders given sentences under four years to serve half of their term in custody. This means she is scheduled for release by Christmas 2027, not 2026.

I hope the murderer's mother serves at least two years from the date of her imprisonment. Then deported to The Punjab, if not born in the UK. Hopefully, the entire family too. The murderer could only have acted in this abhorrent manner eg knifing another individual, lying about it and leaving the individual to die, if the family environment was that way inclined.

It does once again come down to the CPS. Assisting an offender is ordinarily lower key stuff, hiding someone or washing their clothing. It seems to me this should have been perverting the course of justice. Which carries a maximum of life sentence.

If there's a will, there's a way. However, if the will is not there, and the unwillingness of the present sitting Labour MPs then the spiral decline of UK Plc so visibly evident of our high streets will proceed in earnest and uninterrupted. Our international respect has been dwindling and suffered over the years, and will continue to do so.

I was up in Scotland during the 80's storm that took down 6 of the 7 oak trees in England. Scotland was very clean and proper then, and any foreigner would be kept in check eg no little lout. I've not been since then.
