For once I actually thought our calm heads and being switched on lnowing what was coming would serve us well. We have shown passion before and gone at it like a bull in a China shop and got nowhere. I though we were cool, calm and composed yesterday......until we scored.
I messaged my Brother after we scored " WE MUST NOT SIT BACK NOW " and that is exactly what we did. An open invitation to get battered for 40 odd minutes.
It was the wrong call. If we had pushed for a second goal, even for a 5-10 minute period the Argie Manager would have reacted before we had to.
No blame anywhere, just the wrong call once we went ahead imo.
Viva Espana!

Spain must be certainties then Quixall if using your record as a guide, my 12 year old grandson has done better than you. He had £6 @ 12/1 for Argentina to win 2-1 to return £66 profit to rub it in that 66 was the only time England won, when they did not have to qualify. lol

Unfortunately not T2R, I went to Yarmouth earlier in the year hoping Big Jim the bookie might have heard something via Ed Thompson but he had not. Ed sold his pitch at Yarmouth and he was really the only one who had contact with Paul, maybe if I make it to Newmarket I can get an update.

Nearly every time I'm on the Forum his name crosses my mind.
Over the last few months I've even tried Googling his real name and an NR30 postcode I found ages ago, all to no avail.
Hope you make it to Newmarket and that Paul's condition hasn't worsened.

Yeah, The English have only achieved a final and a semi final in the last few years.
The Scots celebrated qualifying and a close win over Haiti, the Welsh hardly ever attend and the Irish (Land of my blessed Mother) are capable but also quite poor.
The comparison you make Ace is very poor and weak factually.

Re national anthems -- I thought there was some confusion about when it started because, not for the first time, the fans were out of time with the music.

Try the Sri Lankan......bless them. Its the most comedic anthem I have ever heard and I mean no disrespect at all.
It's like the starting tune to a childs programme.

The trophy cabinet has been bare for sixty years HH…..
You can hit 40 semi finals but it’s the shd in racing……nothing in return apart from the flight home early……
All doom and gloom….
No doubt there will be punters who have maxed the credit card…..dreadful scenes imo.

The usual nonsense from the losing Two Bobber. Naturally,he went a full bank job on the Argies The potless Sweaty never had a copper coin on but is doing a Delbert like aftertime. England were beaten by a better team, simple as that Whatever happens, the Sweaties remain light years behind us

Acey saying that 3rd or 4th is the similar to either not qualifying or not making the final stages is quite funny.
England are by no means a great team, but to be world ranked in 42nd behind the likes of Wales, Panama, Ivory Coast, Canada, Algeria, Australia, Korea and Iran gives you little wiggle room for a strong opinion.

Probably 'formofthepeace'. A household / neighbour and acquaintance of African descent went out in their casual wear when the England game was on. They were also cheering for Ghana, Senegal, Cape Verde, Congo, Haiti and the Ivory coast. I can understand with the other countries of the UK not supporting England because of deep-rooted jealousy, but immigrants when England were playing Argentina?
UK Plc is broken.

Your grandson should get himself back down the bookies. They underpaid him.
