In a simple 'yes or no' market, I have 'yes' at £14 green and 'no' at £5950 green. I want to back the £5950 on 'yes', but I'm receiving the 'You do not have sufficient available funds to place these bets or you have exceeded your exposure limit.'; why is this, as I shouldn't need any funds if I'm staying all-green, nor would I be exceeding my exposure limit?
Yes, £1500 of that 7k is mine, as that's what I have as 'available to bet', but I want to add the £5950 to it, which would not leave any liability or reds, nor would it exceed exposure limits, so why am I receiving the 'You do not have sufficient available funds to place these bets or you have exceeded your exposure limit.' message?

Penzance, thanks for trying to help; I've tried lower amounts, but am not being allowed anything beyond my 'available to bet' figure, (which the £1500 already waiting has swallowed up), with no recognition of, or allowance for, any of the £5950 green. I would assume that, in a two-runner market, I could stake the £5950 before a penny of my 'available to bet' was affected

I shouldn't need £4945 available to bet, because I have £5950 green on the only other runner, so I should be able to back the whole £5950 without it affecting my balance at all. The £1500 I have waiting has come from 'available to bet', which shouldn't be happening.

most politics markets are incomplete. eg if someone backed Fatface in the by election, any other runner added would automatically be red. you can test this by laying No instead (it won't be matched obviously, but I'd expect it to be stacked.

Hugo; I have £1500 waiting to back 'yes' which, if cancelled brings my balance from zero to £1500
Cider; it's a yes/no market, no possibility of other runners, so gotta assume the market's 'complete'

Because the only other runner is currently £5950 green! Meaning I should be able to bring that green to zero, transfering all my green to the other, without it affecting my balance at all. Then, if I wanted to, I should also be able to back with the £1500 available, rather than the current situation, which is being able to use the £1500 and not being able to use the £5950. 21 years on here, I've never before seen a two-runner market behave like this

I'm right, I think. If you eg put up 100 at 5 on yes, it doesn't also appear on the No side as an offer to back at 1.25 (as it should).
Test that on another politics market eg Andy Crapp to be pm at the next general, an unmatched offer will show up on both sides (at obviously the relative inverse price).
