This race, a prestigious and historic Group 2, attracted a measly 4 runners. One of those has been subsequently declared a non-runner. There is a Charlie Appleby runner, but why are other top yards turning down the chance to grab black type and decent prize money? I don't have a solution, but trainers need to stop being so cautious with their best juveniles.
