i'm off to Portman Square tomorrow to sell my idea to the Jockey Club. Do away with outdated course system, judge all races from satellite from central base, promote Emily Jones to number one judge (she takes 5 minutes when its 3/4 length), sack every judge who has got the heads mixed up and called the wrong winner in the past year (happened at Perth most recently), if satellite not working use drone, no drone, phone.Hope to get 2 million for this idea.

The only thing that needs to change is that the judge should always be able to publish demonstrable evidence of the official result to the public. Simple enough.
In the last week we've had two situations where a winner has been declared but the public have been shown evidence of a dead heat. |

Picture this, Lingfield Aw, 6 horses go over the line within half a length of each other. The winner nearest camera beats the second furthest away a shorthead, the other 4 are between those 2 about 1/2 length behind. How can judge correctly place those 4 horses, when their heads are obscured by the winner from this side and the second from mirror side. The camera isn't high enough, outdated system.
