Enough room at the rail imo from the head-on.
By:
10 mins and still no call..fckn embarrassing again.

billy pre empted other was drifting in front and switched.

The judges polaroid must be broken. He's obviously got to use the stewards and the publics pic's
Another day....another shambles |

Rogue the winner.

Not that you can tell from the print.
Here we go again... |

It's a dead heat, FFS!
By:
Agreed loper, a dead heat.
By:
I came out on the right side of the nonsense this time.
1-1 |
By:
Another ridiculous outcome! There can be no other verdict than a DH on the evidence of that print. How do judges operate? I think I have a good idea!!
By:
so you thort rogue had won on the slo mo?
By:
You couldn't split them in the mirror image either.
By:
you thought that that won Jamee ?? Or just backed it as you couldn't separate them and took the stewards option out of the equation ??
By:
The controversy is stemming from the fact that the new cameras are capable of a resolution that can't be rendered on a TV or monitor
By:
But why does it take so long. If its clear on new res cameras it should take 30 secs to call a winner
Are they deliberately taking their time so the betting eauqlises around a dead heat on betfair? |
By:
I thought Rogue won from live pics. Then couldn't separate them in the slo-mo so backed Rogue at up to 4.38 in the photo market.

You couldn't split them in the mirror image either. correct. |
By:
We really need to see the version with just the one line. But, if you zoom right in, you can just make out some brown between the lines in the fptp that you can't with the 2ptp.

By:
but takes judge and the camera 15 mins to call?
By:
It seems to me with that print the 2nd's muzzle, and not the winner's, is more squashed against the line implying that he may have won if they could be split which I find impossible to do anyway on the evidence provided.
What seems obvious to me is that a mistake has been made, sod the pixel theory. |
By:
It won't be a mistake. The Newmarket winner was correct according to reports from those who say it in the Judge's room at the track
The new cameras have brought nothing to the table except controversy |
By:
why cant they just put the line on the winners nose and leave it at that if there is a gap betweens 2nds nose.
By:
Saw it in the Judge's room, that should say
By:
Clear and obvious lol..
By:
strange on how the freeze on sky sports shows both heads the same size with the ears level, on the official photo, the winners head is about twice the length of the second and its ears are 9 inches behind.
By:
By:
i know how it works, but explain how 2 horses travelling almost the same speed, on the tv freeze appear to have the same size heads, but on the photo, one is twice the length of the other. You need to see freeze alongside official photo. There was a photo at Newton Abbot a few years ago , where the short head winner was half the length of the loser, he was travelling at 30mph the loser had broken down and walked over the line. I think a new system is needed, I know we have new cameras, but the way its done was invented 70 years ago

1 head down other up accentuates the picture.
