More talking for the sake of talking from the O'Brien mouthpiece.
The flat season narrative every year exists around overblown hype. The cheerleading brigade go into overdrive. The vast majority of horses talked up will never go on to do anything. For all the 'great' pedigrees, most will never live up to expectation. Add in the impossibles like Balding and O'Brien, the joke that is the weighing room, and day after day of bookmaker friendly races, it's not a great enticement for punters, unless you happen to like losing.

yes, Blake getting to be disliked these days, nothing wrong with when eclipse is on, but his bosses rather run v each other in that joke race that its become the irish derby , and too many other group 1 near the race, the prince of wales now seems to be themain target , it didnt years back as it was group2, the pretty polly another race just a week before eclipse, maybe blake should sort out the irish calender , what a race it could have been, daryz, ombudsman, b cellini, cons river, estrange,

Yet again you have the will he or won’t he run thing again.
For every race they have to play that game.
Ever since the jockey club they wouldn’t commit. Yes they have to do their last work, yes they had to see how he came out of the JC but a race is never put up as the actual intended goal.
Ordinarily this wouldn’t matter so much, but because there was so little between Hawk And River in the JC it gives them more room to play the game of who will run.
Say this is the target end of, turn up, show up, celebrate get on your phone or commiserate and blame the pace.

For all those that say AoB simply runs lots of horses in the Derby because of the amount of horses in his stable.
A Group 1 goes by without a representative. After the G2 Prix Eugene Adam only had 4 runners at the weekend in France.
The 2026 edition of the Deutsches Derby was expected to be very interesting after the addition of Hawk Mountain and Causeway, but in the end Group I will compete without any horse from Aidan O'Brien at the start. Indeed, during the statements on Tuesday, the only confirmed foreign horse is Bay of Brilliance, trained by Ralph Beckett in England and entrusted to Hector Crouch. Twenty horses will therefore start this classic German race, which could have given Aidan O'Brien the opportunity to make a full Deck, after having already won the French, English and Irish Derbys this season. In his absence, Gostam, disappointing in the Prix du Jockey Club but unbeaten in four starts before his attempt at Chantilly, took on the role of favourite, with Englishman, coached by Marcel Weiss and unbeaten in two starts.

Ya, very mediocre. I used to look forward to its running annually. This renewal's top spot has been occupied (by default) after connections of Ombudsman jettison. This seems to be the norm lately. The Epsom Derby is another regularly won by mediocre horses from the AOB / Coolmore.

Hawk Mountain's Eclipse odds slashed after colt is scratched from Sunday's German Derby

Aidan O'Brien's Hawk Mountain has halved in price for the Coral-Eclipse after being taken out of Sunday's German Derby. The son of Wootton Bassett was supplemented for the Classic on Monday, which led to his stablemate Constitution River – who had finished directly ahead of him when winning the Prix du Jockey Club last time – being shortened to 5-4 favourite. However, after Hawk Mountain was taken out of the Hamburg race on Tuesday, Ladbrokes reacted by cutting him to 6-1 (from 12s) for Saturday's big race at Sandown.
O'Brien has been non-committal over which of his colts will line up at Sandown, with both set to complete a piece of work on Wednesday before a decision is made.
SAME OLD SAME OLD

I’ve seen that both Causeway and Hawk Mountain have entries for the Germany derby at the weekend. They’d contested win and you’re in for it. No mention of this on the post when discussing the Eclipse at the weekend on the RP.

Given the heads up yesterday playing one against the other as per usual, great trainer and all that, but sick of his games.
They weren’t SUPPD they had winplace and you’re in entries.

Delashay , so they are due to do a piece of work TOMORROW according to your piece ,yet you expect AOB to give a decision TODAY...Strange or what, do you think he can see into the furtue ...

It’s facts playing one stable entry off the other some are either naive or too thick to see it.
Comment about me and not the situation that’s being discussed wollock chops!

Immediately post the win of Con River in France its price tumbled from 20 -> 5. And, following the lukewarm post race comments of AOB for this race its price eased to 15. Its price tumbled to 7 before the taking run of Ombudsman in the Prince Of Wales. He was still about 7 until rumours were circulating that connections of Ombudsman might skip this race. When this was confirmed on 25th June its price collapsed to 6/4.

I can bet AP on Chelts but I couldn’t get a quote for the International.
Eclipse / International double.
Can’t see Minnie Hawk taking Ombudsman on again, will River head there and Hawk to Sandown, not much on formlines between the two in both races.
I.e. second string Hawk to Sandown to take on one who was in reciept of 7lbs.
River to try and Scalp Ombudsman at York.
It’s not conspiracy it’s working out the fiddle.
Wills go 4/1 TODAY for River at York (only Wills)

The fact that the certifiable Delbert calls it a "Fiddle" sums him up. BTW,he stated on Sunday that the the Curragh 12F was stiffer than the 12F at Epsom

River may well show, but the fact remains two stablemates have been played off of eachother and River won’t be 4/1 or 9/2 should he be scheduled for York. Likewise Hawk not his price now for Sandown.
Bell asked if you’ve trained many Derby and Gold Cup Winners? Think he knows about stamina and tracks despite you calling him a , “Moron.”
“Not around” as in still training WR Showed 4/1 on oc. River may well show, but the fact remains two stablemates have been played off of eachother and River won’t be 4/1 or 9/2 should he be scheduled for York.Likewise Hawk not his price now for
It is very simple Delbert ( a bit like you). The RP Standard time for 12F at The Curragh is 2.31.9 The RP Standard time for 12F at Epsom is 2.35.6 If that Bell a moron so be it but it is a fact

Whatever you say, my fault I didn’t read your post and take that much notice of it, trying to compare others to the AOB isn't really in my interest with a fanboy of his.

I cannot see Con River (CR) taking on Ombudsman unless vfa is in his favour. I'll take Ombudsman to eat CR for breakfast over 10f, all things being equal.
It is not the fault of AOB to avoid the champion of its division ie Ombudsman. But, for the game of the sport AOB / Coolmore ought to pitch their best horses including 3 yr olds against Ombudsman eg CR given the distance of The Eclipse and International at York.
I was gobsmacked to read Magnier Snr was against the inclusion of geldings in The ARC solely on breeding. As a racing fan I do not give two hoots about breeding. I just like to see the best horses run in a race. Anyway Coolmore have been breeding mediocre Derby winners, a disservice to horseracing in my opinion.
Golden Horse won The ARC from stall 14 as a 3 yr old. Similarly, Sea The Stars won The ARC too as a 3 yr old. These two names are still fresh in the minds of many racing enthusiasts contrary to those from The AOB / Coolmore eg here today, gone tomorrow.

Only one firm are showing on OC, some really desperate to try and get one over on me it seems!
What a sad bitter lot.
We all know Clooney lives in Stoke and it’s a dark and shabby town, according to Trapman.
We all know mark is one of the luckiest trainers to ever have won the Arc.
He’s an assswipe by the way for his love and admiration for Bull Fighting.

Who’s stepping up taking the 11/10 about the odds on shot on the faith that he shows up on Saturday?
Today after the news broke about earlier that you were told about yesterday?
List below all backers :

As said it’s not showing on OC and I don’t want to place it, the point is we should be able to play the game vs the trainer and their antics.
You get me?
I don’t have an account with them, told them to poke it when they wouldn’t take a 63.

AOB left Ben in the King Edward at Ascot citing it was a long way to the Irish Derby. What, 9 days apart? Mr Gosden was correct not to send his star to run in the backyard of AOB given the battalion and team tactic AOB regularly deployed.

For those who think that it’s all conspiracy talk it’s not, it’s about working out who’s going where.
I play AP unlike many of you but like Impossible does too.
You’re right he did Impossible another occasion when he played the game.
Had no intention of going to Ascot but told his buds at the post and they were happy to report it.

Sir henry and most trainers did tell people their plans , harwood for instance told all that d brave was craven, 2000 and derby all along , henry said tenby was dante and derby , and that he was running comm in chief coz he thought tenby wouldnt stay, hern didnt say a thing about nashwan before 2000 . but afterwards he said eclpse, kg arc trial , and those trainers usually stood by their plans but for injury etc

The top trainer would bypass the Irish Derby for the King Edward? Only an invertebrate or a moron would believe that.
I cannot see Con River and Hawk Mountain doing battle in The Eclipse. Both may turn up running against Ombudsman in The International. Let's hope Soumillon rides Hawk Mountain. I've little doubt a team tactic will once again be utilised by AOB / Coolmore.

With Henry, Stoute, Cumani, Harwood, etc, they did not run a battalion or deploy team tactic in the race. A pacesetter at best eg Cataldi in a Gp 1. These trainer were gentlemen, sporting and principled. Also, very seldom did they've multiple entries for their stars.

DEL, you didnt see dancing brave run, ? harwood stable those days was superb, great horses Warning, saddam, to agori, to name a few , he was training in the era of seriously great trainers and jockeys , i was lucky enough to remember the 70s to 90s era .

Save your breath, it's a waste of time. A couple of numpties that wouldn't know the difference between Longchamp and Lingfield even if they tripped over a copy of Paris Turf.
I fail to understand why anyone would have a pop at AOB simply over entries, they are what it says on the tin. As for Constitution River not running against Hawk Mountain, why not, they met 30 days ago. I'm not suggesting they will both run, but why wouldn't they.
Workrider, York in August ? I may come over.

Andrew aka Snotty nose, keep your cheap digs to yourself, you’re not as clued up as you make out, that’s been proven.
You thought a pit pony like Aventure was up to winning the Arc last year giving weight to 3 years!
I’d posted that it wasn’t likely but I’m glad you did your money you jumped up pilchard!

A few trips to London in the planning 'pipeline' and even thinking about Sandown if Constitution River runs this weekend, but prior to York, the only meeting in Dublin i would go over for is the Oaks on July 26th. Calandagan runs at Saint Cloud on Sunday, another possible as it's close, better than the German Derby in Hamburg and not much difference in distance.
