Does behaving like Basher & Co make you any richer?
It demonstrates a lack of class

Haven't seen any races today so hands up if I'm wrong. But did Buick by any chance start wVingvthe reins from side to side instead of just a hard drive which he seems incapable of doing for more than a few strides?

Nothing wrong with most threads on this site , APART from The dealer and kenbum , both who think they are are clever and know a thing or two about racing !
Both see nothing , knowing  nothing , but come straight on here to defend everything about racing , no matter how bad it gets!
Over the years they try and silence people by their sarcastic no nothing remarks ! Trying to put punters down !
Have they a clue about what racing is about ? the gambling side ?
Perhaps if they bet on horses they might have different opinions !

You are perfectly entitled to your opinion, although it would seem i am not. Just to clarify a few things....

I've never claimed to be a know all and have posted on  numerous occasions that I have been wrong many times and have came back on threads where my opinion was wrong, to say just that.

Feel free to post up where I have ever tried to silence anyone, put punters down etc, in fact I doubt I've posted 6 times this year directly to you.

With regards the gambling, I posted my yearly p&l from here a few months back .
It was a minus £1200, win or lose my punting now, will make no difference to my lifestyle. Over ten years ago I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and won a six figure sum on the last Barney Curley coup. It gave me the chance to live the dream by owning a small bit of a few horses. During this time the horses which were run straight, were beaten by horses who had been messed about with. So I 100% know through  experience, watching a horse dropped a stone in the betting, after a dozen down the field runs, miraculously recapturing it's old form, that there is a shady side to racing. I do however object to posts, calling jockeys bent ****s etc based purely on financial loss.

I stand by my post that 95% of posts made minutes after a race is nothing more than pocket talking. The other 5% is well worth the listening too.

you aren't part of that 5%

Jinxy ain’t even smart enough to know I’m mocking the poster. Anyone who comes online crying about the result of a horse race needs to have a long hard look at themselves. It’s utterly pathetic. How a man can behave like that I will never know. It’s no coincidence you pocket talkers never win.

In both your opinions  Kenbum , always looking for friends Laugh.
Nobody expects to back winners , unless you are in on a gamble ! Most people expect a fair effort from a jockey who by the rules of racing should try and get a horse to run on its merits. Too many occasions , we see this not happening . So call it pocket talking , if people slate a jockey or the ride for it !

How many do you think run on merit? The ones that try their heart out every race get penalised for doing so. Their mark goes up and they may struggle to win a race. Lose a few and your chances improve.

Tell me Kenbo , is that against the rules ? Exactly , you have talked some sense! Therefor which ever way you look at it there is cheating in racing by default !
Nobody likes being cheated , do they ? Cheated people have the right to vent , it does little harm in the big scheme of things , it`s not like jockeys or trainers read this forum!
And , if they did , they wouldn`t give a s h1t .

There’s cheating, Theres deception, Theres playing the system. Theres good rides and bad rides. There is no point whatsoever in knowing this and still crying about it after you’ve lost.

There’s a few on here who ‘cry wolf’ too often. As I’ve said before, a genuinely bad or dodgy ride will have three or more threads created straight after the race. There is something to look at then.

The best thing to do is not bet the horses if you’re not mentally strong enough to take the rough with the smooth.

Being critical of something is not crying about it. It's doing something that those paid to do so - the cheerleading media - don't do. If they did there wouldn't be any need.

The apologists never seem to criticise anything. See nothing, hear nothing, everything's wonderful. It may as well be the media posting. For the most part it's no more than attempting to belittle the poster, and put themselves on some sort of imaginary pedestal.

Pocket talk? An oft used throwaway when you have no idea - unless stipulated - whether the poster has indeed backed a horse, or not.

When a post is made seconds after the horse pasts the post, it's pretty safe to assume the poster has had a bet, especially when it's full of expletives.

Is having a different opinion to someone trying to belittle someone ?
If it is, I could through it back to you and your post could I not.

You have called me an apologist many times but if you read my post, I clearly say everything is not well and that 5% have a valid point but the what a c u n t brigade who chose to abuse rather than criticise with reasons are not.

This imaginary pedestal I find very funny, considering some of the posts you have made DD, imho I'm a fair bit down the ladder for that.

I only tend to criticise the people jockeys/trainers and owners who were found guilty of cheating……

Trust me there’s a fine list…..

Punters pet hate,an individual jumping in saddle knowing fine well the horse will be unplaced…..

Dreadful.

No luck in running done a shd, tough it happens…..

Lester Piggott got unlucky and made a few mistakes and he was probably 10lb better than any since time began tbh…..

Of course with money involved there will always be cheating but a jockey failing to get a clear run or making the wrong split second decision doesn't mean it's corrupt or bent but you can be sure a thread will appear every time saying so, when these things happen.
Was at Musselburgh yesterday to watch Falaise Blanc run, he has now been beaten twice by the winner yesterday. Looking at it's form prior to moving yards and the fact it was gambled in twice like defeat was out of the question, on it's last two runs, it's hard not to feel hard done by

I am belittling the poster. No imaginary pedestal though!

We all win and lose because of these rides. It’s part of the game. We all know that. Please stop crying about it!! Take it like a man!!
