A channel that was so great to listen to in between races. What have we done to have this josh in the studio every other day with his data muck. Whats the bets we will have adele at Ponte later this evening to finish my ears off.
Said it manyvtimes but O'Neill brings absolutely nothing to any racing program. Haven't been watching but I assume she gave no info away about the Elliott winner as usual.

Lisa is at least, for the most part, cogent. Josh Kerr is being groomed into being a mini Angus, nobody knows why. We don't need one Angus really, let alone two, but again, he can put a few coherent sentences together. Josh hitherto, cannot. Y8s needs, erm, er, no introduction.

Live broadcasting must be daunting. So personally I give new people plenty of rope and scope to improve. Not that they'd care what I think, but in my own mind as a paying subscriber. Y8s will never ever be an adequate broadcaster (perhaps he is a decent writer, I've never read the mirror). Josh isn't getting any better at all, with practice. Maybe he is a Willie Thorne type that is capable in practice, but falls apart when the heat is on. And will never be able to handle the pressure when it counts.

There are elements of the data that at times could be interesting, in my view, irons. The rtv approach seems to be however to decide which race or meeting will throw up interesting data before the event. So you end up with them trying to extract something interesting out of a bog standard race (in the way it was run). And confirming the bleedin obvious like the 10 length winner finishing fastest of all the runners the last 2 furlongs. no shyte sherlock.

Similar to yourself Cider, I am not one to take digs at people for the sake of it. I thought newsboy could never be beaten but Josh has brought it to a new level, he could be telling me the lotto numbers for friday night but I wouldn't take notice of anything that comes out of his mouth.
There is a fair few new faces on both racing channels, and they aint all bad, some of them are finding their feet and are improving.
Johnny ward is an absolute natural talker and I hope he gets more gigs in the future - so its not all doom and gloom.

We won't all have the same tastes fool, but she is not offensive to my ears. There are other contributors to the Irish output that are more incisive for sure. But I don't find her hard to listen to, and she is pretty knowledgeable in my opinion. We won't get any secrets being shared from the GE stable though. Walsh is no different in that respect.

i recall one of his last posts asking for some decorum
he was genuinely incredulous at the bile from the small-minded begrudgers who saw badness and corruption in everything
accidents and crazy stuff happen, its not always dodgy

JW was pretty defensive of Byrnes' jumping off I seem to recall. So he remains consistent ;)
As a gambler I accept plenty of shenanigans, and generally if I try to guess when the handbrake is off and get it wrong, it's on me. Jumping off to avoid winning is a whole other level.

ward has said that hes in a sticky position because he likes to get around and speak to as many as possible so its half a hands-up from him
but you could make an exception for byrnes, the biggest rodent in the game
fair play to leighton aspell. he said it as it was
