Serious stuff is going on all over, to make warm weather the headline news
is a bit silly. They could show concern later, it's a matter of perspective
and what they want you to regard as most important. I don't think
warm weather is the most important thing at the moment, but I don't
put the news on anyway.

I knew an undertaker for a long time. His mantra was always,
'winter takes the old ones, summer takes the younger ones'.
So duffy might be in bother Happy

That’s a great line that I’ve never heard! It could be well true with all the drunken swimming that goes on and the obvious infections in the winter Sad

Ahh from raving till a morning! Or trying to! Sad

No sun here as of yet, mist, so here’s hoping the day brightens up at least for the Irish fella out on the street.

There were no raves in those days, overweight people were his target customers.
I don't want it drying up at York, I've got 10/1 on Quest for fun 5.00. Likes a little cut.

I don't know if you lot have this thing called a 'memory' anymore but you need to engage it and you'll find it has been going on forever - especially local news rooms. I do hope this helps all you forgetful old men.

At least pretend to get angry about things worth pretending to be angry about ffs!

Good luck with your bet Saddo

Spyker I don’t forget the munt Tony Blair that destabilised the Middle East and took us into an unjust war on a lie if that helps?

This new guy ain’t much better, another liar and I’ll never forget, so nought wrong with my memory as you can see! Wink

Maybe not much news on the day. The Ukraine War has been done to death; Strait Of Hormuz is President Trump specific even though the massive implication to the people in the world. Could President Trump and his motley crew (a bunch of misfits) be charged with a disservice to the world and retribution sought eg a reimbursement of the increase in cost of living? The Strait Of Hormuz is highly strategic and important to shipping traffic for goods and energy for the rest of the world.

Yep, they used to talk about the ozone layer too, spyker.

It would be a far superior world if humans could feel and see for themselves what the weather was like. Even better if they created a gadget that told us what the temperature is.

If it weren’t that Impoosible this lot would still be blaming those before them, Covid, brexit, blah blah.

The most exciting news is the footage of unknown things in the sky, that’s the real news but it’s being drip fed so we don’t panic at the reality, that we’re not alone!

They could be showing us the rather beautiful images from the Starship V3 megarocket launch.

Yes I believe it despatched 20 dummy satellites and returned to earth. They didn't try to reverse park this one Grin

The fastest speed is incomprehensible, over 26 thousand kph. But the footage is absolutely stunning, imo.

Good pictures, cider. What happens to the dummies?
Space junk, or will they fall to earth?

The mock satellites deployed by the Starship V3 megarocket remain in suborbital space following their release. Because the test flights follow a suborbital ballistic trajectory and do not achieve a stable orbit, these dummy payloads quickly re-enter Earth's atmosphere and burn up over the ocean.

Why don't they try reporting facts after the event rather than predictions. Getting the weather right is as hard as finding 3 winners at haydock this afternoon. In Somerset this morning it was cool and cloudy while it was foggy on the Mendip Hills. Now at midday I am typing this in a heavy cardigan in my office where it is around 17 degrees. Same as last Saturday. It was warmer yesterday, around 25 but certainly not uncomfortable. Why is 30 degrees a health emergency in England but perfectly normal in Spain or Italy? Cold kills 10 times as many as heat.

It's not a health emergency, but there are enough malleable people to buy into their nonsense. God forbid people are allowed to enjoy a bank holiday with great weather in England for once, free from psychological manipulation. And yes, it likely won't be the same for everyone.
