Wasnt that long ago when Holiday camps would have people patrolling the Chalets listening for children crying. They would then radio the places of entertainment and inform them. The chalet number would then go on a board informing people Baby crying in chalet 77 or 81 etc. Thousands used to do it. I am sure a lot of people on here had family and relatives do the same.

The chief of police hypothesis was that she died In the apartment. That was the clear line of investigation by the Portuguese until the British got involved and derailed that (Gerry is very well connected)

If Kate was sedating her, Saddo, and she did it as a living, surely she’d know how much to give her safely? If she did OD her then the next step is huge. You’d phone police/ambulance would be the obvious option. Burying your daughter to hide the fact you’d accidentally killed her wouldn’t be something many people were capable of. Burying her well enough not to be found in twenty years, with some extensive searches thrown in, makes it unlikely imo.
Reading other posts, it sounds like the Tapas Seven need to be complicit in the cover-op. Top ranking police complicit too, plus the government. All because Gerry has ‘connections’. Surely he’s not that well connected that a quick phone call home could send officers abroad to derail the Portuguese investigation?

Someone produced an in-depth 4-part documentary on the McCann case, highly watchable and very interesting, examining such things as the contradictions in the statements of the 'Tapas' group and the extraordinary involvement of high-level politicians right from the outset. It was an impressive piece of work for a one-man band.
The fella's name is now taboo so Rico daren't mention it in case he's accused of being a conspiracy nutjob and I daren't mention it in case madtolo self-combusts!

The fact that the apartment was on the ground floor on the periphery of the hotel complex makes it a possibility that it was someone who broke in and had a quick getaway.
But I've no idea, as no body has ever been found, which means everything else is just circumstantial, even the two dogs barking to detect blood and cadavers, there was never any DNA matches in the quantities needed to link to Madeleine. It was a rented apartment, people came and went all the time, every week, month and year.
Gerry seems like an odd guy which hasn't helped himself, but what also emerged after that case, was just how common place pa£do groups are over there and how many kids go missing.

What happened to the little girl was extremely sad. The errors and the lack of judgement had been underestimated by her parents which caused her disappearance. This can never be overcome by her parents for as long as they live.
Notwithstanding, until her fate or whereabouts she might be I do not think the media is helping by constantly rehashing and reminding the public of a sad event through human (parents) negligence.
