Can anyone explain what going on here..when betting within the last few minutes before a race and I place a back bet that gets matched, it seems to force the price out on the exchange.  It looks like a spike on the graph, and the timing always corresponds with my bet being placed.  Just happened again in the 5.15 York on Knightsail went from 15.5 to 23 within about 10 seconds after I placed my bet??  I was looking to lay the bet off but it seems that somebody already knows what my second move is.

I had another today that went from 46 to 80 in about 20 seconds.  Toca Madera in the 2.20 York at exactly the point I placed my bet

No idea about your issue revs but I have found repeated problems elsewhere.
1. I get logged out every few minutes and have missed a few intended bets in consequence.
2. When I place a bet it does not appear in "my bets" on the right of the card until I press the refresh circle on the top left of the search page. Again it creates uncertainty and until I twigged what was happening I placed a second bet a few times thinking that the first one didn't register. I now press refresh after every bet which all adds to the time taken and the irritation of a duff website.
I do find that 90% of my early bets drift but not as dramatically as yours so I tend to bet BSP as late as possible.

Nothing to worry about revs, the biggest money comes in during the last few minutes leading up to the off therefore and thats when the biggest price movements happen too, especially the larger prices which take less money to move, you're just being unlucky in picking the wrong one.

in the last 10 mins of betting a horses price, even at the front of the market, can change 50% out or in.
