Unlike Dariyan and Daryz, who made their debuts in the Prix Juigné over 2,100 meters, newcomer Daryzan lined up for the 1,600-meter Prix Mendez for his first official start. “He had a setback,” reveals the Cantilian trainer. “And after that, I didn’t have a maiden race over 2,000 meters to offer him. I’d read that he worked his 3 year olds against older horses and they apparently dominated good yardsticks.

Barza was on Narrisa and she worked with Rayif, he led her in the work.
