Not surprisingly, a half brother to Daryz. Made quite a taking debut over a mile at Saint Cloud this afternoon. Held up, got a dream trip up the rail, but looked beat before skipping clear inside the final furlong. Doesn't look as if he needed the soft ground. Interesting to see what comes next. I would assume that they will try and build gradually.

graff reckons 10f no problem step him up in trip next time ,as to what it beat we dont know no fabre horses in there but it was a taking performance .

Unlike Dariyan and Daryz, who made their debuts in the Prix Juigné over 2,100 meters, newcomer Daryzan lined up for the 1,600-meter Prix Mendez for his first official start. “He had a setback,” reveals the Cantilian trainer. “And after that, I didn’t have a maiden race over 2,000 meters to offer him. But since he was a colt who looked very promising in the morning workouts, we thought it was feasible to start him over a mile.”

The intuition paid off, as Daryzan—who had seemed to be struggling against Modelling’s challenge down the stretch—completely changed his attitude when Mickaël Barzalona really pushed him in the final furlong. It quickly became clear what kind of bloodline he came from. “He just took off,” his trainer remarked after the victory. “So, while I had planned to extend his distance after this race, I’m now reconsidering because Mickaël thinks we should stick with 1,600 meters for now. I’ll decide based on the schedule.”
The colt that won the Juigne is ear marked for the GPDP just won over 1m 1/2 at a provincial track. |

Barza was on Narrisa and she worked with Rayif, he led her in the work.
