Billionaire developer Luke Comer and his family have taken control of over 300 acres of prime land in Co Kildare formerly owned by champion trainer Dermot Weld.

Location and Size: The portfolio consists of approximately 340 acres of land, including yards, gallops, and paddocks located near the Curragh.
Transfer of Ownership: Legal rights over the nine parcels of land were secured by a company linked to Mr. Comer in 2023, with ownership transferring to a company run by his sons, Luke Jr. and Barry, in November 2023.
Transaction Status: While legal charges were registered, the specific nature and value of the transaction between Dermot Weld and the Comer family have not been disclosed
