This irish raider was at least a stone better on form with the rest of the field and showed a liking for soft ground. He was always bigger than 7-1 in the 12 runner market for the whole day and went off about 10-1 here. When you consider his form advantage this price was ludicrously wrong or he was brought here specifically NOT to win a valuable season end race. What everyone's opinion on this? He SHOULD have been something like 7-4.

Just to say i'm only looking at this race in retrospect as don't take much attention to bumpers and didn't see race or look at form beforehand.
Can't see why you would think this horse was at least a stone better on form with the rest of field.
How do you come to that conclusion? He Was a 4 yo running against 5 yos  on heavy ground receiving wfa allowance.
The first 2 were the horses backed in the race, Skelly Hill had won his PTP and a bumper at DR and the 2nd had won it's previous bumper at Sthwll, the eventual 4th had ran No Drama This end to 3 1/2 lengths on its previous run where the 3rd in that race Cinquenta subsequently ran close 2nds in maiden hurdles before winning 2 h'cap hurdles and will probably be rated nearly 130 now. Can't really understand why you think BHs 2nd in a Limerick bumper makes him a stone better than those horses?
