You could ask the same about plenty. The weighing room in general has been very ordinary for a long time. There isn't much of a choice for owner, and it's very hard for punters to avoid all of them. Buick rides plenty that have so much in hand it doesn't matter if he messes up.

Never criticise a jockey unless you know what orders he has been given. Winning a race requires being on a good horse on the day. Losing is very easy and there are a variety of ways of getting beaten on the best horse. Some are mistakes, most are not. Will Buick has been retained by just about the best yard in GB for many years. Only Ryan Moore and O'Brien are a more powerful team than Buick and Appleby.
