Grand National at 4pm
Liverpool kick off at Anfieid at 5.30
Not sure how far apart they are, but just thought logistically people moving around and police presence ...ie resources stretched

Whichever of Everton or Liverpool were at home on National day, they used to always kick off in the morning.
they did. The transport access and egress don't really clash and most of the Aintree crowd will be in pubs/restaurants by the time the game finishes .....certainly I used to be!!
