The Irish are irrelevant to most English people
Up until roughly 20 years ago the majority of us Irish would have admitted that what was happening in England was of the up most interest and that it was extremely necessary to keep up to date with everything that was going on from politics to economics, sadly that is no longer the case at least not for me anyway. I always believed we were about 5 years behind in the sense of whatever was becoming common place for England would drip feed down to us and take roughly about 5 years to become our common place.
The generations of today hold very little knowledge of history and the chip that we once had has long been lost for many

Saddo that clearly doesn't include horse racing. All the crying because Irish horses were winning too many races at Cheltenham, should be handicapped harsher etc. All the poor us crying. Anyhow the subject was about 3 posters in particular (there's probably more). As usual people try to move the goalposts on here and threads quickly become what they weren't intended.

Yes it is very tedious that Mullins and AOB flood races, game the entries et al. But that has nothing to do with where they live, and I would feel exactly the same way about it if it was Hendo or Gosden. Who thinks the whole of the front page of Derby betting is horses from the same yard is a positive? Unless it's you, obviously.

I suspect that punters dont care either, does it really matter to the punter where the horse is trained, a winner or a loser is the same thing regardless, Cheltenham, Aintree or anywhere.

I agree with younger people, who tend not to watch much mainstream media, but my own experience is that they're still many links. The vast majority of my friends and social circle, and of course my own family, have friends, cousins, brothers, sisters, and now even our grown up kids, either in London or Manchester or Glasgow, or Edinburgh. In fact, all over the UK. And a good view still in Australia.

Absolute nonsense. All you've done is try deflect from my original point that youre an anti Irish bigot, which you clearly are. My only triumph yesterday was knowing that it did your head in to see who won. You know that of course. But you've tried everything to get others on board with you to try to twist things.
